When you talk to inanimate objects, they talk back to you! But since they don't have brains they aren't very smart so they just insult you.

You can find anything you look for in the second last place you looked for it! Once you start looking for something else, you know where the first thing was.

You can't blame objects insulting you for their lack of brains. If you have the ability to magically give them the ability to speak then you can't try to somehow insert logic into it. If the frying pan says "You're using me for the fifth time today, fatty?" maybe it has a point.
