Cover upload size?

It says the cover needs to be under 3 megabytes.

...my cover is 30 MB. It took nearly a week to make it and I exported it in 4K. Still, I downgraded the resolution and it is now 12 MB. I was wondering if I compress it to 3MB or less, would that make the image look bad on SH format? Like blurry and grainy?

I would expect it to be fine. The places you see the cover are rather small already (most of the time) so it shouldn't ruin the quality all that much.

Don't worry, it will look fine... like Corty said, just edit it so it's 250 x 350 pixels.

250x350 px is the preferred. but can go up to 3 - 4x larger

4(250x350px) = 1000x1400 px
(though it will blur, and distort a bit)

That's over the top. Keep the size to 1-4 MB even for in-chapter illustrations. It will take ages to load otherwise and will frustrate users on limited data more rather than make them admire the art (if it will load for them in the first place).
