Could I add butter chicken sauce to my beef stew? Would it taste good?

I making a beef stew which includes stewing steak, mince, onions, carrots, celery, beef and vegetable stock, garlic, worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and marmite.

I'm missing tomato sauce/tomato paste, could I substitute it with some butter chicken sauce that I have in the cupboard?

Use ketchup and put a small spoon of sugar to balance it out

the cool thing about cooking is that there's no rules! go wild and maybe accidentally invent the next milk

Is your butter chicken sauce tangy with a hint of sweet and sour? If not, why are you using something that is buttery and meaty to replace the tomato taste?

At best the stew will get a hint of butter.

I suppose so, but the texture and flavor may differ slightly. Just make sure to adjust the amount of onion, garlic, and worcestershire sauce to counterbalance the sweetness of the sauce and balance the flavor. Add more beef stock to make up for the tomato flavor that would be missing.
