fuck it, give 'em a Big Stick, from bo staff to kali, from three section staff to a random tree branch!
The Ultimate Stick of Ultimate Desitiny - a single large oaken stick with a faint green glow, gives +3 to finding koroks and +7 to cool factor when seen by a child between 6 and 11. Also grants the user "cool stick bro" as a status effect.
Licorice. A MC beating people up with licorice.

If it needs to have a pwoer then depending on flavor depends on its power.
To be honest I would not be so much geeking about a particular weapon, unless it is a particularly nice picture of one not just a description.View attachment 33823
But sometime a nice clean weapon works too:

well, it's more one of those things that I want people to go "Oh, that's X sword from Y anime/game/show/movie/etc!!"

Dual wieldig spear

Well, if Yukimura is rather too hot blooded for you, there's also Dual wielding spear from Fate Zero
That's actually something I'd been considering for a character. It's unrealistic IRL, which is why it was never really done - only the survivors pass on their techniques. That said, in a world of magic, it could potentially be possible.

I am a big halberd nerd, but if we are going anime, twin lantern shields sounds dope.

The swordcane, a walking stick with a sword inside. Utterly impractical in real life, but pretty cool in anime.

Or just give him the 'Invisible Air' from Fate.

Lightsaber - can cut though steel like butter, but I have written myself few scenes of "well f*ck me" when person wielding it finds it too late it may not be the greatest characteristic - especially when trying to parry enemy's weapon ends up with part of their blade continuing on trajectory of MC's face for the first time

Being a dick here.

How about a shield or an armor? Specifically, Naofumi's Wrath Shield or Iron Man's armor or even the Destroyer from Thor 1 movie?

"I wish nothing could harm my champion." Said the God whose about to send the 4th calamity into isekai.

What about a blade that grows longer for the soul of each major enemy defeated and grows a new voice or aspect of personality based on who was killed.

It's a weapon broken into pieces with each separate shard adding an inch or two to the blade and turning it into a longer and stronger weapon with each extension.

Each effect the blade has can also vary on either the shard that hits the opponent.

Example, The tip is the very peak of the blade making it the easiest shard to get a strike with.
The protagonist would put the shard that would help them the most at the tip (fighting an ice golem? You'd use a fire tip.) You can also get creative, Using a spectral tip that makes your blade willingly phase through objects to cut through magical barriers or physical shields.
So basically the title. I'm looking for a cool anime weapon that a "god" could provide to a champion of his. I want it to be easily recognizable from a specific anime, but still vague enough to not violate any copyrights.

The champion is a warrior that uses sword and shield. Any ideas? And it doens't need to be anime specifically. Any pop-culture sword. LotR, game of thrones (I've never read it, and only watched half of season 1), etc. All ideas are welcome. There's just too many for me to decide between specifically.

So in short, what weapons would YOU geek out about being represented in a webnovel?
Or if that doesn't tickle your fancy, What about a sword and shield that can be merged together to make a mechanized axe.

Look up the Switch Axe from monster hunter to get the idea.

Also call me basic, but playing carmina burana and getting excalibur would be very epic moment :blob_sweat: That's my favorite moment, having supreme weapon, but Excalibur is only as powerful as the heart and will of its wielder. So when they get power hungry...

That actually gave me an idea. A sword that absorbs other swords to get stronger. There's that old blacksmith saying that each weapon you craft is a piece of your soul. So... Why can't a sword be made to devour other "soul pieces" (swords), thus getting stronger.

Likely won't use this idea for the champion, as they're an antagonist, but yeah. I like it. I also like your idea of swapping weapon pieces to change the effects of the blade.
