I will admit that horror themed stuff makes sense because of the upcoming season.

However, what about also supporting the comedy genre! Yeah?

Or maybe people should have to write a horror story, or other story, by combining elements that are normally mutually exclusive such as horror+comedy. That's precisely how the world gets very weird but interesting things like The Nightmare Before Christmas and Zombieland: Double Tap.

Edit: Does it have to be horror though? Maybe one of the options could be horror and the other options could be,

Horror sounds bomb. Every horror would be excellent, but more so Lovecraftian/Eldritch. Because if we know anything about tentacles...

Also, I like the suggestion about mixing genres. That would be interesting to get to do. Since so much yuri won last time, I'm gonna write a yaoi/lovcraftian horror out of spite.
