I am a fan of what i like to call 'comfy horror'. Essentially a type of immersive horror that focuses less on the gore and tragedy, giving priority instead to the mystery, uncanniness, wonder, etc; almost fairy tale like in a way. Think something that would go along well with those "dark ambience and music" 1+ hour longs on youtube.

Does anyone know any stories like that on this site?

A series I am writing might fit, although it is more similar to Dracula than a fairytale…

Another. There are some blood and gore but not that excessive. The suspense and eerie atmosphere is spot-on. The vibe is strangely calming as well. Maybe because it's set in a small town.

Okay so I'm not much for self promotion but I think this book may be what you're looking for. I am not much for gore leading the plot either but it is still there in suitable amounts. You can check out the first two chapters and decide whether you like it: It's The Blue Lotus: Hellscroll https://www.scribblehub.com/series/952110/the-blue-lotus-hellscroll/
