I'm just curious. Is it better to have a set release schedule, one or two chapters per week on the same days, or is it better to release chapters as soon as available?
Anyone who's written or read a story with a set schedule will tell you it's better than not having one.
Of course, if you can't maintain the schedule, it'll reflect worse on you than if you'd just not had one at all. A pleasant surprise is always better than a disruption, I guess.
I try to put something up every Tuesday and Friday. Frequently off by a day though (and may be trying to put together covers tomorrow rather than posting).
Having a set schedule is better because it gives the readers an Idea of when they could expect a new chapter. The only thing to keep in mind with all of this would be how much you could write because you need to be consistent like what's said before. Either you find a proper word count you could write consistently or pile up some chapters in case ^w^
Set release schedule. That's not even a question. Think of it this way, you wanna go to the library and there's a sign saying "nah, you can't come today, don't have any books for you, however we'll do sometime in the future, but we won't tell you when. You'll just have to be lucky next time you're around, maybe."
