Basically, filling out like a sentence or so at a time, which connect to the previous sentence. You know, like that camp game. Once the chapter is done, anyone can use it. I'll start, by writing a premise, then other people can add sentences.

Richard had lived alone in the house for years, but the old house was creaking while mighty torrents of rain descended.

He wasn't living their by choice, but with the extensive use of AI in his former industry, he lost his job and it was the only way he could make ends meet theses days .

The wind blew through gaps in the walls, lightning flashed thru the cracked windows, and thunder rattled the entire house down to its foundations.

(:s_eek: Noooooo, no the AI!)

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door; actually, it appeared to be a rhythmic series of knocks on the door, and he was trying to place the tune of the song that the person likely trying to get out of the rain was beating out with percussive taps.

He paused, the heat of his microwaved coffee burrowing uncomfortably into his palm, as he realised that the once random patter of raindrops upon the windowpane had unmistakably begun to follow the same percussive beat.

He groaned, as he realized that both the knocker and the rain were conspiring to get this song stuck in his head... The song, he could almost place it... But no, it couldn't be, not that song.

Wait... no, he had it ... ugh... not THAT ... he cried out in despair: "No! Not 'Shave and a haircut, 2 bits'! ANYTHING but THAT!"

As he opened it, a harried, thin-looking, bespectacled man in a delivery uniform held our a small black cardboard box. "Mr. Parsons? Sign here please?"

"I didn't order anything," he whispered, eying the box skeptically. Whatever it was, it smelled faintly of aloe vera and if he strained his ear he thought he could just about hear the closing credits from 'Blackadder' emanating from its gooey depths.

(I was thinking that, or Knock Three Times, or Rick Roll. Or The Song That Never Ends)

He opened the box and inside was a literal Cabbage patch kid... some sort of forest elemental whose hair indeed smelled like aloe vera. But being a child, the rest of her stunk of elderberries. Like a froggy ferny cabbage, the baby was unnaturally... GREEN. Richard tried to find a return slip, but the child started crying. As everyone knows, once a child starts crying, it cannot be returned.

So, he took it out, attached it to the chain with the other babies, and prepared to feed all eight.

'Keep it down or none of yeh'll get fed,' he snapped over his shoulder. The new child seemed to have assumed something of a leadership role amongst his new brothers, and had begun conducting a chorus of 'Who do you think you are kidding, Mr Hitler?'

Richard's body froze with shock, their childish voices producing a tremor in his hands. "How- how do you know... "
He turns to them with widened eyes, "...my real identity?"
The gaggle of children cease their tantrum when they realize that Richard, no, Adolf Hitler seemed to be a bit out of it.

Adolf Hitler, dead during the second world war, had been given a second chance at life, reborn in a dystopian future under the name Richard.
One of the children, with a nose shaped like a pyramid, stepped forward with their tiny legs, speaking in a surprisingly deep, rumbling voice.
"We were sent to watch over you, obviously. You got brain damage or something?"

Richard looked around the dilapidated house then, a horrible realization dawning on his hallucinating brain. "The mushrooms...they were laced with something. I...I....I...am going to kill Tony the next time I see him!"

Meanwhile, deep within the haunted forest, a fork of lightning split the night sky. "Aha," cried Tony, eyes wide in mad triumph, "my plan to spike Dick's mushrooms with more mushrooms worked perfectly! No-one alive can stop me now!"

Just then, a distant voice called out, "Rise from your grave!" as the theme from Altered Beast played. Surely if none alive could stop him, a revived dead might have a chance. Richard wondered if he might still be hallucinating, but dismissed it. This sort of thing happened all the time.
