Censoring NSFW

I just released a new chapter of my webnovel and even though I marked my story as NSFW, which it definitely shows in certain chapters, I wanted to censor some of my art to not break any potential guidelines. Is censoring with black bars like these acceptable or should I censor it more?

even with the black bar it is still quite suggestive, but I guess it depends on whether someone feels uncomfortable and reports it?

It’s about nsfw pictures and TOS forbid them on the site. You think every reader looks at the content warning? Some can’t even read the genre list and complain about the content

The rules are clear, site owner made it clear no nsfw images. Linking 3rd with nsfw images is ok.

Though this still mostly depends on the level of maturity that OP has shown in before chapters. Because at that point, only their own readers will decide if the sensitive content is too much or not (which may lead them reporting it). ADD: mind you, I don't know if the bot also sweeps into individual chapters.

Exactly. I have seen plenty of dumb comments asking will there be yuri and complains about the mc and everything being edgy. Their brain is fried from porn or they are too horny to use it. 50 chapters in and they still don't know they are reading Chinese Xianxia. And then there are some complaining about plot in smuts. Those are the worse.

The mods still have the final say about this. Readers can report them as they like but the mods can choose not to do anything about it. Some readers are just salty they don't get to decide the story. They self-insert as the MC and want to bang a character so badly they flamed the author when the MC don't end up with that character. Jobless virgin behavior. They see MC having sex with someone they dislike and reported it.

This forum has fought over lesser things tbh. But I agree with tiaf, that's just the way it's it. It's just like on AO3 where you can't directly promote monetization for your works, and smth like that. Honestly, most other sites have stricter censorship on this matter.

Most other sides except QQ. QQ has no censorship at all. The only downside is you have to be registered and logged in to read the stories there.

Nobody tried that before. Usually when someone deleted their forum account they want their primary account deleted too. You can just stop using the forum.

This gives me hope for my novel which consists of plot with smut but that line made me laugh now I wonder if ppl read my smut chaptersfl for that dopamine high, and after that clarity they clean up and go "this is good stuff" and keep reading for the plot
