Carry over sign in between the main site and forum

I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this, but if I log in on the main site then go to forums I'm not signed in. I actually spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to make a forum account before trying my main account, since they seem to be separate. Could you carry over the sign in so that logging in/out on one site also does so on the other? If that's not possible, there should be some indication that the two accounts are the same.

As an aside, is there a way to link the forum and main accounts?

The forum and the main site are treated as two different websites. You don't have to make a new account though just log in with the same details from the main site.

Thats what i meant, since it uses the same account details it would be nice to automatically be logged into the forum ehen your logged in on the main site

I am assuming @Tony will add it soon, afterall nu/nuf have that feature for a long time and it makes no sense to not add such a feature. Still I would prefer if tony kept the avis for sh and shf separate

Actually for NUF, you have to sign in again even if you are signed in on NU.

Sign in works on nu/nuf like this, If you are signed in in the forum, you are signed in everywhere. If you are signed in nu, you are only signed in in nu and not nuf. So you dont have to sign in again.

Ditto on the separate AVIs thing. I like my pictures.

Also, I would like the option of being able to get alerts from over there (SH) and here (SHF) and vice versa. You could turn it on/off if some users prefer not to though.

Just my 2 cents for improving the community.
