Do you study from real life? Or other artists? Or both? I never try to study the anatomy or anything because I don't know where to start. It just feels pointless when I try to study on my own (。ノω\。)

Anyways this is really admirable, I will look up to you now. It's very good

As a self-taught artist myself, I began drawing by mastering the anatomy first. Then, the proportions (how thick and/or long a body part is compared to the rest of the body), and then the 'balance' of a character/figure.

It was only then when I mastered those three that I began to study other artists' illustrations, then got to combine those techniques with my own theories.

So, yeah, I suggest you master the following according to their order:

1). Anatomy
2). Proportion
3). 'Balance'
4). Other styles

Anime-style illustrations tend to simplify the body figure, so it's best you study first the real human form, before diving into anime/manga styles (if you choose to do so).

Oh
Damn I already have the art style unfortunately I did it in the opposite way.
Should I start over from anatomy now?

Yep, it's fine. I taught students before who have a pronounced style before even learning proper anatomy, and they still learned in the end.

Key is, your will and determination to learn (coz it's quite boring when you've skipped steps).

especially if was a former Imperial German corporal
Well, for the record, we already got a dead long-lived queen (Elizabeth II), a playboy king that ruled after her (Charles III), a trench warfare (Russo-Ukrainian War), and a pandemic (CoViD). Just like 100 years ago (Victoria, Edward VII, WW1 and Spanish Flu). You know what'll be next.
