Ah yeah... I have some words like that but have never had the patience to develop full languages. Then again, from some of his other writings, Tolkien may not have "made up" Elvish; his essays on "Fairyland" sounded like he'd actually BEEN there...Conlangs are fictional languages. Tolkien wasn't really a fantasy writer. Well, we classify his work as a fantasy today, even as one that was establishing the genre, but it wasn't the author's intent back in the day. He hated when his contemporaries misunderstood his work, and would despise this discussion as well. Anyway, it's beyond the point. It's different now anyway, and most people simply do fictional languages because they think it is expected.Ah yeah...
