Aw fuckYou really have to insert via image hosting sites, since the Insert/Edit Image function is asking for URL of the image. (Pretty much RoyalRoad)

Yep. Wattpad has that function though, as well as Honeyfeed. But Honeyfeed has a limit of 3 images per book, and you can't put it in the middle of your chapter.Aw fuck
Someone (@G1onny_Rog3rs) summoned me from the Hell-hole of Southeast Asia, and so here I am.
To upload images in SH, here are the steps.
1) Upload your image in an image hosting site like imgur.

2) Copy the 'Direct Link' of your Image.

3) Go to your chapter here in SH. Click Edit.
View attachment 3603
4) Put your cursor to the part where you wanted to insert the image. For this example, I chose the last part to insert the image I copied. Then hit Ctrl + V (Paste). The image should appear to indicate you're successful.

Alternately, you can use the 'Insert Image' function of the formatting bar at the top of your chapter to insert your image.

5) Hit 'Update' to save, and preview the chapter to see if your formatting worked.

Tip: If your image is too large for the chapter, you can quickly resize it by clicking on your image, and dragging that little square at the bottom right of your image to resize it.

If you got any other questions such as how to insert images and combining it through spoilers, feel free to ask. As for my experience here in SH, I've encountered a few snowflakes but overall, the community is nice. Since I'm a teacher, I'm used to dealing with problem children anyways.
Well, an imgur account is free, but not that secure...Thank you! I was searching how to add a photo. Apparently, SH cannot host an image so I just copied the link instead. I don't have an imgur account but your suggestion is very much appreciated. Thank you!
Oh wow, thank you. I finally know how to upload an image.Someone (@G1onny_Rog3rs) summoned me from the Hell-hole of Southeast Asia, and so here I am.

TBH, the fact that it's a sister site of NU, so a lot of the userbase are people who came from over there, is also something to keep in mind. A site like Wattpad, for instance, has a really weird and varied archive of stories and fanfiction, but because a lot of the authors and readers on SH originate from reading eastern webnovels, as other people have pointed out, their interests are in stories that emulate trends from those webnovels - aka, isekai, quick transmigration, cultivation, reincarnated/reborn villainess, etc. Some people find this frustrating, and definitely if you're trying to tell a story outside of these tropes it's complete understandable. But a lot of issues people have with these translated stories seem to be cultural (eg. "the beta Japanese MC"), so I think just by the fact that these genres are being written from a western perspective, bringing western values make them inherently very novel (pun not intentional) to me, and I like to see how people interpret the same cliche story tropes through very different value systems. Spoiler: turns out not much changes, for all their complaining.
