So, I can't find the right words to explain this dress. Since English isn't my first language, there are things that I find hard to explain. And this dress has me stumped.

Especially, the skirt part that is like a mini skirt with the chain, with ugh..whatever is at the back. Help me with the discussion, please?

I don't know that much of dresses, but seems pretty nice, I guess?

The fabric of that dress is probably quite thick/rigid to retain shape like that. The 'mini skirt with the chain' is probably just part of her gambeson top (and it also seems to continue out the back), which is interesting I guess. Though the metallic collar is probably uncomfortable, at least IMO.

Overall, really aesthetically interesting, I guess?

I don't know, I am not exactly a dress expert...

Ah, that's gambeson.
Explains so much, but then there is the part where from underneath the metallic torso corset there is the chain extension and it seems that these are two different types of clothes. The upper one is more like a gambeson jacket and the lower one mash of waist-high skirt and coat.

They look like the same material too me at least, which would mean the metal corset is on top of the gambeson hiding the rest of the gambeson. But maybe I'm just tripping since it's almost 2 AM for me.

Looks like what people said, a gambeson which i think is basically just layered leather.

Me, I would just say that "she wore a tight-fitting gambeson over a black dress with a long, flowing skirt bearing a thigh-high slit opened to expose a pair of milky white legs."

I may add that she wore metal shoulder guards and bodice, but yeah. I'm not sure if the bodice is metal or leather.

As she walked down the hallway, her long black skirt, with a slit in front all the way up to the top of her thighs swished slightly in the deafening roar of the wind. Her equally black gambeson, sewn to fit her feminine body, was both thick and elegant, suggesting that style and defense was probably part of the consideration. Her pauldron was small and seemingly pointless in the battlefield, but just like her steel collar, it exuded an aura of intimidation that made one think that she had stepped in one too many a battlefield. And on her waist, steel plates took the place of feminine corsets, which further emphasized her role in the field of blood and gore.

This is the difference between my low effort comment and your high effort comment.

Anyway, great piece. Can really imagine it in detail.

Woah! Cupcake Ninja is praising Ai-chan's description. Ai-chan thought Cupcake Ninja doesn't like Ai-chan anymore.:blob_hide: But thanks for the compliment.

"at a loss of words"

okay, when did you last see those words?

Terrible jokes aside, if you're unsure of the specific terms, just describe it with the closest comparisons you can make.

"She wore a full-bodied, leather coat with a bottomless window cut out the front as if she's wearing one half of a skirt, giving sight to her milky, pulmp thighs and slender legs."

It's not my best, but it's an example nonetheless. Most visual designs aren't made with writing in mind, so if you aim to simulate it regardless, just describe as you see without worrying about the technicalities.

Thank you, love it.
