I'm a panther in the sense that I'm a cat.
But as a writer, beyond an overthinker, I didn't even write the prologue of my story until I had a cohesive plot of how does it end at volume 20 or so. Now if I could just push through the perfectionism. :sweat_smile:

My lore is a narrative extension for a long-running series. My synopsis is a promise and a contract I keep. And the fictional ending? Well, I decided on that even before the fiction was released. I could write the fictional ending now (I'll just keep it until the end).

Oh, if anyone is worried about being a panth... er pantser - the television series Orphan Black was about as close to pure pantsing as you can get with scripted television (probably much closer than some of the allegedly UNscripted "reality" shows ... the lead had to come up with one of the clones herself the day they filmed that character!)
