now that they are going to condense and change the anime. The remastered fish man island arc is going to be less episodes. and then the Whit Version. Now you won’t have to watch 1000 episodes.

I stopped at Vivi's and Crocodile arc, I don't think I will have the time to continue.

No... not really an anime guy. I mean I've seen a few just not my thing. Will rewatch Horimiya though

So they remaster it, while its still ongoing with less detail?

That is so 2024 ADHD I tip my fedora.
I think they're only remastering one arc that came out 12 year ago. The animation style in the recent eps are to die for, comparatively. They also put the main story on hiatus while they do this lol

Hey, no dissing the AD people. Those are the ones that love details too much. Blame it on Tiktok-goers and their less-than-a-goldfish attention span.

It's still an ADHD thing. It is in the name. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Everything needs to be shortened so current anime watchers can enjoy it before they get bored, conditioned by constant doomscrolling.

It is not a dis. It is reality.

No, it's BS. The one piece anime's pacing is horrendous. Sometimes even goes down to 1 chapter per episode. It ruins a perfectly good story. Not saying the pacing in the manga is always perfect, but it's leagues better than the anime.

Been there, done that. Jokes aside, I stopped watching the anime around the Dressrosa Arc because it was the latest episode at that time. As for the manga, I'm at the end of Wano Kingdom when I stopped reading, because it was also the latest chapter at that time.

That part (may be) true. It has been 20 years since I last watched that arc.

Still, I maintain my point about abridging stuff for remakes.

Watched until Fisherman... dropped and to be honest, I will never watch again because I feel like the story could have been resumed... one chapter per episode... BRUH. LOL

to be fair, weekly updates in a long form manner for a manga that's not complete tends to go horribly pacing wise. Either they pace good, and are then forced to do two months of filler, or pace slowly with half of it being recap so they don't catchup to the source material. RARELY do they go for a hiatus, since no episodes = no profits

To be fair, in one piece, every episode is stretched out WAY too long, as in like, reading the arc in the manga twice would probably be faster kind of way

Unfortunately yeah. Kinda hope long running weekly anime becomes a thing of the past.

They are actually a thing of the past. The only animes that do it still to this day are the oldest animes, being Naruto, Bleach, Fairytail, Dragon ball, and the like. Most newer generation animes use the seasonal approach of 12 or 24 episodes.
