Are we dangerous?

So I was thinking, when writing a story, that... I know how to kill in way to many ways. Like I once made a character based on a nerotoxin that is from a bug likely no one has heard of, I also made a plan on how they could take over the world using only that toxin. That was a small character, I also planned how to kill someone on a cruise liner, (thermite in the hull. Easy to get in if you put the pieces in separate packages and have them be for different things, you might have to bring your own supply for certain things, but I'm sure if you plan things you can make it end very easily.)

Like... how often I think of ways to kill a character is way higher than I think it should be, so my question is... are we dangerous, or just crazy?

No. Most people can kill someone if they really try. Humans die easily, not just at the hands of other humans but also the environment and animals.

So why aren't we dangerous? Because 99.9999% of the people on this forum won't go outside and even attempt something remotely as far. Just don't talk about details to kill a specific person in real life. Think that might be considered a proper crime as plotting or something. Wouldn't want to get arrested for being stupid. If you do get arrested at least do it all the way.

Anyone with an ability to walk and grab is dangerous to be honest. But it's a matter of manifesting that danger into life.

Whatever plan you think is a good method to kill very likely isn’t going to go as planned in the real world. There are too many variables to take into consideration. So no, you’re not dangerous because you think you have ideas on how to kill. You’re only dangerous if you’re capable of killing. Theory does not equate to practical experience. You’d just be a clumsy bumbling idiot. Killing is an art like any other field. To master any art you need to actually perform said art, not just theorize about it. It’s like telling someone who studies and researches the physics of figure skating and asking them to figure skate. They may have all the knowledge, but if they never did it themself, they’re obviously not going to be pulling off any jumps any time soon.

I mean have you seen the shit authors like Stephen King and George R R Martin have come up with? As far as I know they haven't killed anyone in real life yet.

Imagining something and doing it are completely different. Reality is so much more difficult and complicated. Like where in reality you will get this neurotoxin or thermite without any connections and money. And in reality you have soooooo many more consequences of what you do.

There's most definitely no bodies buried in the mountains behind my childhood home and I most definitely didn't have anything to do with any that may be found there:blob_whistle:

There is a difference between knowing and doing, it is about being simple versus being easy.

We all know how to kill a person, mostly involve gravity and a place of great potential, rat poison and pesticides work too. The issue then becomes "doing", how are you going to kill that guy and the most important bit; how to get away scotfree. Cutting someone's brake cables is easy but even a daft detective will notice the cut and these days, we live in a grid. Hell, if you don't give a hoot, you can go to the local store to buy a knife or gun and go gungho. Humans die easily, we are not dangerous until we decide to enact our darkest desires.

I am the danger in the eyes of the wild cats. If I somehow grabbed one of those cats I'll punch them to death. They fucking deserve it. Like, one of those filthy things took my cat's eye like wtf. And now almost all my cats are missing and are most likely dead. One of my cats disappeared two days ago and now I'm just nervous as fuck. Sorry, trying to cope it in here. Fuck even fired my gun at those things and it just ran away like a filthy bitch.

long ago, I was in a writer forum hangout and then somebody just casually asked : "hey, did anyone here know where to get a chloroform?"
and he's asking it without feeling remorse or any hint of being surreptitious.

so, yeah. it's not about the knowledge you had. but it's about whether you're being obtuse with such topic or not.

It's easy to get the plans to do something. You can find instructions for a million different things online. The "hard part" is to actualy get the needed parts in real life and go through with it.

And that's also the difference between "research", "interest", and "being crazy".
