Basically, when I get into a book (or any form of media), I get really excited about it and start making lots of comments. Ever since I learned how to use the multiquote function on SH, I’ve been spamming people’s books with long comments, highlighting whatever little thing I liked, found funny, crashed out at, have questions or theories over, etc. (you can check my SH profile for examples lol). It’s like when you annotate a physical book with random notes, highlights, or comments. Also I assumed that authors love comments, sometimes even more than likes (I know I do) because it shows you’re really engaging with their hard work, so I comment whenever I can. Sometimes if I *really* like it I’ll draw fan art, too (anything to procrastinate from my own work).

Does anyone have a book they think I could get really into and don’t mind some comment “spamming” on almost every chapter? I’m just a simple girl, I like cute/soft romance, comedy, or drama, but I also love action, fantasy, horror, etc. and honestly any genre. Character-focused stories are the best. Although I am picky with what I think is worth binging. The only thing I probably won’t make comments on is pure smut, not because I don’t like smut (how can a fanfiction reader not), but because I’m shy. ? Explicit content included in a book is fine, just books centered around smut and erotica gets me a little embarrassed hehe.

Edit: before anyone asks, this isn't a story feedback thread, I won't be giving any constructive criticisms for books recommended here. I'm honestly a terrible objective reader (and any media enjoyer) because anything I like gets a mental 5 star rating from me. My favorite movie is whatever last movie I watched all the way. But that's also why I could get picky. I believe if I'm reading these books for free, then there's no reason to say anything "bad" publicly (unless I'm forced to), and I'm just going to turn off my brain and get immersed like an NPC audience. The worst "review" I'll leave is just closing the book and silently walking away.

P.S. I am way more likely to keep commenting if you respond to my comments! Just so I don’t feel like I’m screaming into the void. Let’s be mutually engaging! :)
Hi pangmida, if you're in the mood for a good ol'Epic Fantasy quest, you might like my story A Shattered Peace, there is an ancient evil awakening, a big cast of misfits on a quest, a kingdom in peril, magic, fantasy and original races. I'm updating daily and I have the first book all ready to go, as well as the second in revision, so there's plenty to seek your teeth into.

Wait... a thread where I haven't self-promoted yet? Blasphemy. If you are still looking for bingeing stuff, take a look at my signature or my profile on the main site. I have a couple of completed books that you don't even need to wait to be finished.

Oh, I think you might like "No Need For A Core?"

It is extremely character driven, and is almost entirely focused on these three people living their lives and building a relationship together; two of them just happen to also be 'dungeons', though with a couple twists on that idea. The most extreme end of the cozy spectrum is probably represented by the three chapters dedicated to a girl's fifteenth birthday, which is her first birthday with her new adoptive family.

Fuyuko's PoV chapters have become some of the fan favorites once she is introduced. ?

There are also some higher tension/higher stakes moments, and during the current arc, the protagonists might as well be singing "Takedown" while they make their way closer to their main antagonist. (YouTube link, in case you don't already know the song, in which case you really need to go watch KPop Demon Hunters). There will be no moment of thinking about not killing the bad guy, even once their more important objective is complete. It's an execution that happens to include a military operation.

My story is only about 37k words, reads quickly. It's about magic swords, a king fighting to get his kingdom back, loss, betrayal, reuniting. Can go young adult or adult. I'd love any feedback, questions, things you like/don't like. I kinda rushed it because my mom wanted to read it and she is in very poor health at 86. I already had some done before, years ago. I finally got off my butt and wrote it, lol.

Oh this is epic!!! I haven't read it yet, but the premise reminds me of The Odyssey, and I love epic fantasies like that! And you are wonderful to have written it quickly so your mother could read it. I'll definitely check it out! :)

Mine is character-driven low fantasy with a sprinkle of steampunk. MC is an orphaned peasant sent to fight the Emperor's shadow war. Enter a different world, unlike anything you've ever read. I've been pushing this out for over two years and have hundreds of followers across multiple platforms, and I'm soon releasing the first twenty chapters on paperback.

The Deity Entertainment Network | Scribble Hub

- New take on the Isekai genre. The MC is an old man, and his system isn't making him powerful, but fixing his health conditions.
- John (MC) is a soft hearted, loving family man to his friends and loved ones, an ornery old bastard to his enemies
- There are a only a few smut chapters so far, all labeled.
- I actively respond to most comments, even ending up having full out discussions in some chapters.

I remember reading your other book!! The one where
the MC got freaking crushed by a Spirit plane.
To say my jaw dropped was an understatement. Cackled loudly the entire time in the prologue. Although I admit
I had to put that book on hold because I could not stop laughing at the “Tyrant” in ch. 5 ???

hahah

yeah, MFGR is a bit rougher around the edges, mainly in the first 30+ chapters... I need to rewrite it someday. It did get better.

DEN is my best work yet, with several people commenting that it is 'refreshing' in a world filled with isekai fanfics, so I like promoting it.

Isekai fans, (or those who are sick of isekai tropes and idioms) might get a kick out of "Strange Isekai Stories", a compilation of short stories I'm currently writing. ?

Mine is a classic non-isekai action-adventure-fantasy story. Though, the POV changes a lot between the characters. If you're into something like Suikoden, you might like it.

Oh, I've got a feeling you're gonna binge the hell out of mine. Check it out whenever you're ready, 'cause Villainess, Retry! has some bite.

Personally, as an author, I do love comments and feedback on my work.
I'm not sure how well my own stuff will appeal to you, but you're welcome to check it out.

Aethara is still in it's early stages and only the proof of concept and prelude are currently available (Chapter 1 is slated for release by the end of the month as I'm actively writing it right now).

Im using this site as a means to display my first draft. The book (The story) is now completed and I will be uploading the majority of the book here before publishing - some things will be slightly different or rearranged in the final version. Chapter two will be up when my fiance finishes the edit. Primarily horror, then urban fantasy romance.

i have a fantasy-romance with grim reapers (dark humour, death administration and soulmates, think good omens and mort but sexy and romantic):

the other one is romance/suspense. not entirely smut but it has mature ratings. think of gossip girl meets game of thrones meets inheritance games:

Chapter 1 of my story; Aethara: The King's Path just released today.
If you're interested in Isekai style stories with LitRPG elements it may be perfect for you.

I'd welcome, and respond to, any and all comments and feedback as well.
