I recommend using advanced search so you can block isekai, then sort by rated. I like looking for complete stories myself.

Just exclude the genre in the search filter (Series Finder). Double click it till it turns red.

I'm a fan of Isekai, so if you don't mind, I wanna defend the genre a bit. Isekai is known for playing around with tropes a lot to the point of being cliché, sure, but I think this is more of an execution problem than anything else. There are still plenty of Isekai executed well that the tropes don't feel redundant: Mushoku Tensei, Overlord, Slime Tensei, Kumo Desu Ka?, Ascendance of a Bookworm, etc.

If you still find the genre at least a bit fascinating, maybe you should try looking for ones executed well instead. Welp, I'm out of excuse. It's your reading experience, so read what you enjoy~

I have eight finished fantasy novels or serials, one novel underway, and a collection of shorts and novellas. Some are urban, some are other-world, all are LGBT friendly but not generally about the characters being LGBT (not including the shorts collection), and there isn't a harem in sight although there are a few poly trios here and there. The story is basically about a weird genderless MC that was raised by the personification of loneliness (not as depressing as it sounds, I swear) navigating a world where a variety of deities offer boons for swearing fealty. The deities are preparing to clash, the normal people are ready to be rid of the sorcerer/clerics altogether, and a cult is attempting to cause mass death.

It’s written in a flowery storybook sort of way, very very very differently from isekai (for better or worse).
