Discord baby. Make friends, swap reviews, exchange feedback. That's how you grow.

You can start with SH's own server. It's pretty active down there.

If so, where?
there are always "subtle hints..."

such as putting the story into your signature in every forum you join... linking your profile on all those Wordpress comment sections as your "website." Especially when you tend to comment on translations and stuff. There are many ways to promote, my man!

I share a lot. Though usually it's done through talking with someone who asks about it when I make reference to the fact that I'm writing.

Do people do review swaps on SH? I don't think I've seen threads for it here.

nah i let my stories stand or fall on their own. The most i usually do is, rarely, mention i write stuff or write how i would've wanted a scene to play out. Example, was reading Elf likes to be humiliated over at webtoon.xyz and wrote a short scene there that i would've like to have seen instead of how it actually played out in the story and some dude said, "damn this guy should be a novelist" so i mentioned i do write stuff so a couple of people asked where they can read it

And thats basically the extent of it.

I guess a better way would be to just have link to your work in a signature like some people dol

I just send my friends links of my stories for them to check out. The signature function in the forums works wonders too

Synth is posted on MoonQuill, RoyalRoad, Here, and Neovel (Neovel is the main site, and the one I promote most.)

It is premium on Neovel ( they're great, they don't make you do exclusive there even if you're premium) so people can read the first 50 chapters before they need to be a premium member. The other places are free.

I post on Twitter, Tumblr, and even on Facebook. I'm in several discord servers where I post in their Self-Promo channels.

Becuase I'm an artist as well, whenever I do artwork for Synth, I post that up on all the above, and on Instagram. I suppose I could link it in Artstation and Artfol as well, but I haven't yet.
