I dislike asshole MCs that act like a douchebag to everyone but is seen as the good guy because he's the MC. Hypocrites piss me off. Just go full manipulative edgelord at that point.
I dislike naive spineless bitch MCs acting like the paragon of justice. I don't mind righteous MCs if they aren't idiots blinded by an ideal.
I dislike edgelords that are probably the author's self insert. Most of them are boring as fuck with zero personality.
I can forgive dense protags to a certain extent because we all spilled spaghetti hard due to crippling autism at least once in our lives and actually exist IRL.
The list goes on and on but the TL;DR is that most of the MCs I dislike are badly written.
If they were decently written and made to be hated/annoying then I don't mind them as much.
