Fast since 2021.

In the soil.

In books.

Anything with skin tone. Or pronounced trace of body figure.

Hee hee.

Bang bang till it explodes.

Angry birds is proof of real birds.

I answered that question already.

Classic RoyalRoad.

Gatekeeping and denial is a deadly combination.

Have you tried in HoneyFeed? How about Pixiv?

Welcome back!

Pretty much fine. After six years, I finished my novel with 21 books and 400+ chapters amounting to 1.2 million word count. ?
I’ve heard about those two platforms, but not sure if they’d work out.

And congrats on finishing your novel. ^^

Well, HoneyFeed's fine, suitable for beginning authors. Though, many of the popular stories there range from pure adventure fictions to Hachiman-style novels. Also, you'll have to manually update your chapters, unlike in RR and SH where you can upload and schedule releases.

Pixiv is, uh...quite active, but mostly Japanese. I do get reactions from there, even when my work is in English.

I don't know if you'll like it in syosetu. Audience is Japanese, so they'll prefer stories in Japanese. But @Corty and I are uploading there, and mine got some comments and reactions. I dunno with Corty's experience, though.

I translated a Japanese game once, and now you want me to do it for a whole series? You fiend! ?

WHO DARES WINS!

Or become a cautionary tale for future generations.
My whole existence is a cautionary tale
Let’s set the ground rules.

1. You see a RedMuffin, you eat a RedMuffin. This is just standard procedure.

2. Iguanas are the way to the future. ?

3. That’s about it.

This aside, how have all of you been? I’ve decided to expand again, but more on the line that. I’m becoming tired of RoyalRoad.

In all honesty, it looks to be becoming an even more toxic place. Been noticing this trend throughout 2024.

Before, it was certain times of the year. Though, through 2024 to now. It looks to have become just too toxic, and the members look to be downplaying it, or not even noticing it.

Either way, I’ve just been searching platforms for a while now.

And found myself back here, the place looks even better than when I was last here.

Anyway, how have you all been? ?
I mean i use SH as a main anyway, yea i uploaded on RR and will also on honey feed. But like i am mainly here, having them as extra won't hurt, no?

As long as you have your way back to safety, you're fine.

Also, an Arabic-sounding name? Hmm...

I have 1049 followers on RR + over 708k views and 285 favorites. Kinda stuck there lol.

Though to be honest, I really don’t like it there. I’m just stuck there.

In the least, I can at least branch out and find somewhere else I feel better on. ?
Welcome back! I am great at the moment.
Good to hear. ?

I wish that’s what I got lol.

I’ve been unfortunate to get the worst of RR, well. Maybe not the worst, some people get even more terrible than I do.

I’ve had people try to tell me how to write, not grammar or whatnot. No, how they want the story to be told. This includes style.

A bit ago posted a picture of someone screaming in pain, I laughed at that. ?

There were insults, and other methods to put down, etc.

Honestly, I am trying to think of anything positive. And there are a few, but as a whole? Not much. Entitled readers I have dealt with as well.

And since 2024 began? It is like the iron was pressed in deep. ?

I’ll say this much, no matter what you do. No matter how well you do it, no matter how much time and effort is put in.

On that site? It doesn’t matter. The vocal ones are quite toxic, and the ones quietly reading along just remains like that.

I’ve thought about quitting writing as well, because of all the negativity on that site. Though, since I began posting online. I made a commitment that I won’t stop writing until it comes to a conclusion.

So, I’m just sticking it out, and giving it my best.

So yeah, pray that things go well. ?

Yes, after Master Arty's ban, the Catdog cult disassembling, and me sulking because Moderator John yeetus deletusing my clickbait threads in less than an hour... It was bound to happen.
the place looks even better than when I was last here.
To my credit.

I really worked hard to achieve the current chaos, y'know.

Nothing yet; you'll have a notif when you get comments. The Japanese are usually silent when it comes to foreign-languaged works, but I assume you already have your bookmarks and views?

Same experience, really. Got feedbacks that want me to take their direction at storytelling. Or a dismal rating just because they can't take bullying they read in my work.

Or how about the incel Melvin Wong, whose thirst for sex got him shitting on my work, pre-censorship Royal Road?

(Yeah, I don't care if I repeatedly upload this. I'm shitting on this fellow, if it isn't obvious to others)

Don't quit. Let your naysayers seethe. Plus, if you change the way you treat your writing, like what I did, you can finish stuff without worrying about the readers' sentiments...their biases change over time, anw.

See? You’re one of those that got it worse than me. ?

The last comment I got was a bit less than this, but somewhere around the same line.

Some people are insanely unhinged.

Anyway, I ain’t gonna quit. I’ve always been stubborn. Whether that is a good thing or bad thing.

The way I chose to tell the story, is what will remain. I’ve improved upon it more times than I could count.

And it led to some of the best stuff I’ve written.

I just try to understand that they got special needs and will be forever miserable unless they changed their attitude.

And I'm not one to entertain them, so I leave or disregard their whining.

As for my writing, I changed directions. From a former crowd pleaser, I became one who knows where to take his story, and have the discipline to actually work on that goal.

Feedbacks? I choose what I need. Those who aren't in line with my target, I throw it like the garbage they are.

Improvements? Yep, I develop it based on the advice of my beta readers, or if not available, what is proper and in my standards. At least, having known what you want helps, than basing it forever on the wishy-washy audiences.

So yes, while not perfect, I can say I did and finished a nice series, complete with illustrations also drawn by me.

Ah yea i am an arab, hence why i can't write smut, BL, GL, GB like most people (i am not sad about it fr).
The name's mean Nur's father cuz that's low-key what i wanna name my daughter when i grow up, and i got popular with such a nickname in my home country too.

Also yea i have safety on, just cross my fingers no one will steal my work like in 2021

No amount of bad words can hurt me at this point anyway. Unless the feedback makes sense and is done in a good heart i won't give it any mind

Ha, if I want to take the time to do it, I can translate my own works into Japanese and make them basically unreadable.
