Fellow daoists, earlier today I(233M) was taking a stroll through Xing Country, a mundane nation in the south, when suddenly I was trapped in a mysterious formation array.
This daoist saw a cart was speeding on a path that forks into two ways, and next to this daoist was a lever that controls the gates that open and close on the forked ways. If I do nothing, the left gate remains open and the right gate remains closed, and the cart would return one hundred fifty five teenagers to their homes. However, if I pulled the lever, the left gate would close and the right gate would open and an author of a scripture I've been reading would come out of a three-year closed door seclusion hiatus and release 10 Heaven-quality chapters at the cost of sending those teenagers to their fates as cultivation furnaces for one of the local sects.
The formation array dissipated after I pulled the lever, and a man appeared. He claimed to be the creator of the array and was furious with my decision to doom one hundred fifty five mortals to "unspeakable agony" because it apparently was not an illusion array. As it turns out, that was true. One of my jade talismans had notified me of 10 new chapters for a scripture which was previously on hiatus. The man continued to yell at me about something, but I didn't pay any attention because I was too busy reading the 10 chapters, which were indeed of Heaven-quality tier. After finishing reading the rest of the scripture this daoist was nearly moved beyond tears, but then I heard the man insult me, my family, my sect, and my dog, so this daoist forgave him after kindly separating his eyes from the rest of his head.
As I am writing this post, the man is crying and flailing on the ground shouting, "Asshole!" He has remained in this state even after I've interrogated him about his formation techniques and declared I'd use this array to grant breakthroughs to bottlenecked authors. Personally I don't consider myself an asshole and am confident anyone in my position would also think of recreating this array to create more chapters for followed scriptures but as formality I'd like to ask other daoists for their thoughts on this matter.
Edit: My apologies, everyone. I forgot to include this beforehand, but this daoist will make the not dead man dead and take his chickens to save face. However if he kowtows 150 times and cripples his own cultivation while begging for forgiveness to me, my family, my sect, and my dog, this one will show mercy and leave his body intact, and not blend his little junior like night blends into day. I will still take his chickens, that part is not negotiable.
