Did you swallow something you shouldn’t?
What a creep face.
This is genuinely hilarious
I didn't said a thing about the time you spent learning prompting and photoshop, it has some value, and that why I said I hope people pay you for the edit part, cause for me, the ai part have no value by itself. You fail to consider my own time I spent learning prompting and photoshop, multiple revisions for how the image should feel, once what the client really wants is finalize, I generate more stuff in that posture or style, and then finalize an image, then I edit it. For the ad with that girl, it took me an hour to reach that image, client just said a broken cyborg girl, we went back on forth for brainstorming and reached that image, and then even more changes were done after getting feedback from others.
Who said 50$? I charge 6$ per cover. 5$ is my fees and 1$ is for paypal charges.I didn't said a thing about the time you spent learning prompting and photoshop, it has some value, and that why I said I hope people pay you for the edit part, cause for me, the ai part have no value by itself.
And again, for me, paying 50$ for an edit is not worth at all.
There a lot of people in this forum that help other when they ask for cover, be it by giving/create cover illustration, or offering the same edit you propose for free.
Again, I didn't deny the value in your edit skill, it's just in my opinion, not worth paying for it when it come to editing ai cover or paying 50$ for writing a title (Yes, I know, there more to it than just writing the title).
RR does not have a policy against AI covers? What craziness are you talking about? AI writing banned? Sure. Covers? LOL!! More than half of the books on RR wouldn't even be approved if this were true. Hell, probably most stories wouldn't.I'm actually surprised you managed to use AI covers in Royal Road since they have a strict policy of no AI writing or art in their TOS. I've had some authors that posted there with AI covers and they weren't approved and those who managed to pass by it ended up being punished with their novels deleted and stuff. Did they change their policy in the meantime?![]()
It was to put a price, I can change it to 6$ if you want, doesn't change my opinion on it.Who said 50$? I charge 6$ per cover. 5$ is my fees and 1$ is for paypal charges.
This is for you. 5$ is a very convenient fees for people who don't want to go through the hassle. People can cook at home but still order takeout for saving time and convenience. Again, one man's trash is another's treasure. Someone in the field of finance wouldn't go to an agency to file his taxes. Similar point can be made for you and others. I am not targeting SH at all, just using this forum for more reach. I am sure a lot of kind souls help out people from time to time, but for success on RR you'd need at least 3 covers ideally on launch, and you wouldn't ask a random online stranger to give you three covers. It was to put a price, I can change it to 6$ if you want, doesn't change my opinion on it.
Bro, I kid you not! Some friends used to post on RR when AI was becoming a thing and the staff penalized the novel for the use of AI, that's why I thought RR was anti-AI even in covers, not like Scribble who happens to use a lot of AI for their covers. Although I do have a RR account I don't often read there so I didn't know they had changed their viewpoint on the matterRR does not have a policy against AI covers? A bit off topic but like, why do you need 3 covers on RR to be successful? Wouldn't one good cover, a good blurb and a good story make it? (genuine questioning out of curiosity, not because I'm questioning your judgment - and because the ones I've seen on RR that are super sucessfull have pretty much the same cover since like 2 or 3 years ago)This is for you. 5$ is a very convenient fees for people who don't want to go through the hassle. Because there is a feature called volume and the only thing it do is showcase your covers. You flex your story by having different cover for each volumes.A bit off topic but like, why do you need 3 covers on RR to be successful?
Sounds unnecessary and would pressure newbies into spending more money than needed (additional volume covers)Because there is a feature called volume and the only thing it do is showcase your covers. You flex your story by having different cover for each volumes.
It's a pay-to-win environment. The more money you spend the better.Sounds unnecessary and would pressure newbies into spending more money than needed (additional volume covers)
Nope, you are wrong. This is not what it's for. On launch, you can keep swapping between your covers for more reach. This is specially useful once a book enters Rising Stars. On that list, when readers go through it, they might not pick the book on day one, next day, they won't recognize that cover and might click on it, and so on. I may not be able to exactly word what I mean, but this is why 2-3 covers are useful. Even if authors publish on a specific time, let's say 9 PM on weekdays, then people who are usually active at that time might see that work in the newly published section, but might not click, then next day with a new cover might click. I hope you get what I mean. This is not for volumes, and is somewhat necessary for newer titles, especially for authors with no established audiences from previous works.Because there is a feature called volume and the only thing it do is showcase your covers. Those are stable books. They are chilling their and are not on this rising star list, and already had their exponential growth, thus not needed.Bro, I kid you not! So you’re implying that RR readers are shallow?Nope, you are wrong. This is not what it's for. On launch, you can keep swapping between your covers for more reach. RR is a larger platform so there will obviously be a chunk which is shallow? Every author wants more reach. It's just that.So you’re implying that RR readers are shallow?
