One of the islands gets mysteriously stranded during the world shift. An investigation is sent after it, but only finds the remains of a great calamity in the lands bellow where the island should be. Among the unnaturally created cliffs and mounds, you find human remains, bones and structures, Skylander or otherwise. They all seem... old... ancient, even. Perhaps the island didn't get stranded, but rather was caught in a bizarre accident during the world shift, causing it to arrive centuries before the actual Archipelago.
Oh my god!! You are so great at describing stuff! I love this!

Or should I have it being transported to Nova Terra much much earlier, so the island disappeared before SA was transported? and everything turned to legend, and people started to forgot about it, treating it as a fairy tale? After all, how could an island disappear over night??? Oh, this could bring another quest about looking for the true nature of worldshift?

Decision, decision..... What do ya think?

Is that a mistake? Or is that supposed to be there?

Hmmm... either way is fine, as long as it is fun to write~

When in doubt, do as I do and just toss a coin.

Ilya has no tail! :blob_hmph:

*coughs* For the record, I think this sounds like a fun event, but I don't see why you'd need to wait for people to establish themselves before starting it out. You could start the chaos now and let everyone scramble and try to somehow handle it while having no idea what's happening~

... Or you could wait, either way would work fine, though I think people would probably enjoy both~

Really? Last I check, faefolk may have a tail or two. Also, damn auto correct!

Maybe not immediately, but rather for everything to calm down first, ya know. Don't wanna overload people with too much info and thing to do. Im prob gonna just drop the info first, and them slowly build it up. Like, someone may hypothesized about an old legend of an island disappearing and draw parallels to worldshift.

Ilya doesn't! :blob_hmph: :blob_hmph: :blob_hmph:
*pat pat pat*

And yeah, I get what you mean... Just saying that my past experience says that people tend to like crazy over the top events that come out of nowhere and totally overload them with things to do~
Though well, people tend to prefer events built over time that lead to a nice conclusion, I think~

Tomorrow is the last day of the month, so it's newsletter day! :blob_evil:

I'll probably remove the earthquake-related quests at that point. If you started writing something but the quest was removed, it's still okay to submit it, so don't worry!

Keep writing your story at your own pace. Many roleplays that I participated in the past employed a concept known as "liquid time", meaning that time doesn't have to correspond perfectly between all the roleplayers. We sort of pretend that it matches up, even if one day elapsed for Player A and seven days elapsed for Player B -- it's still okay for everyone to participate in current events.

There isn't a 'canon' or 'official' date in Sky Archipelago. Given players' writing speeds, time probably moves slower in the game than in real life.
