"Well, the surest way to find out is to look down from the peak of the world... To turn everything over and search in an unobstructed manner." Luna suddenly got a little crazy again.
"If that is what you desire for. Be careful not to lose track of yourself, though~"

The girl winked and disappeared.

@Epsil

A couple days passed and went to the usual tavern to have a day off. I hope Adsall is finished making my stone axe.

Sorry about it being late. I was in a cast from injuries, don't ask. As compensation, I will not take your payment.
*gives @Euka his money and stone axe.*
It isn't my best work, but it should be good for chopping trees. I don't recommend using it against slimes though.

I gratefully accept the axe and 22 G.

"Aye, I gratefully accept and offer sympathies to such circumstance. But alas for I cannot leave such work unpaid as my pride cannot allow it. I shall leave 11 G to you if you would so choose to accept it."

I hand him 11 G.

"I..." Okarin looked down at their hands.

"Sometimes I wonder if that is selfish... To say that you won't fight... To say that you don't want others to fight."

They closed their eyes.

"If there is one evil lord who is responsible for the suffering of millions others, who can only be stopped if they are slain, would you kill them?"

"Would it be selfish... to refuse to bloody your own hands?"

"To find fault in... the people who kill... in order to protect the peace for countless others?"

"Or the people who fight... because their people are slaughtered on the streets on the city like pigs every day."

"The people who rise up against a terrible suffering and injustice."

"Or would you rather have them bow down and quietly accept slavery by humans forever?"
"Why do you think it's a problem to be selfish? It's in the nature of all living beings to have some selfishness... It's fine to feel selfish from time to time, everyone does.

"And I would not kill said evil lord, for I do not believe in evil. Everyone has their reasons to act, and everyone can be reasoned with to some extent. If I disagreed with the lord's ways, I would talk to them and try convincing them otherwise... But The Goddess doesn't force her way, she guides. I can offer a guiding hand to those in need, but it's up to them to take that hand or not. If the lord is resolved to keep causing suffering to others due to their own beliefs, then there is nothing I can do about it.

"Of course I wouldn't be happy with that outcome, but that is my role as a priestess of The Goddess, I will be content for as long as I can fulfill it. I'd rather be selfish and stay true to my beliefs, then to go against everything that have ever guided me in order to do something 'for the greater good.'

"I don't believe there is right or wrong, I believe there is what The Goddess teaches us to do, and the things that she tells us to not do. If one is going against The Goddess' teachings, I am to guide them towards her path... And it's up to them to be guided or not.

"And as for your last question... I would never want anyone to bow down and quietly accept slavery, but I do not believe fighting is the right answer. They should talk, understand, and make themselves understood, to make others realize that slavery is not condoned by The Goddess, and therefore they should be freed. That is what I believe in.

"Would that work? Would they really be free if they were true to what The Goddess preaches? I don't know... Everyone can be reasoned with, but not about everything. If the conversation fails, if your arguments fall flat and your reasoning reaches deaf ears, what are you supposed to do then? I don't know... I know I would pray, I would pray that The Goddess showed me the right path, because I was unable to guide those that had beliefs that did not follow her path.

"I do not know what you would or should do if you were faced with this kind of situation... But The Goddess loves all, so I know she'll always be watching over our steps, no matter what. I trust that her judgment is always right, and that I should always follow her beliefs. That is all I can do."

OOC: Feels so weird to continue the conversation when Okarin was already pulled into another convo and stuff! xD
But well, I wanted to reply, so... >.>

AIEO enters the tavern and sits down at a smallish table near the back to observe the goings on in the tavern.

Strolling into the tavern, Exal takes a look around before its eyes land on a woman seated in the back whose appearance seems to be somewhat at odds with the rest of the room.

With its curiosity piqued, Exal approaches her, its eyes scanning her equipment.

I look around the tavern a man with grey skin tone comes to my attention.
Assertion: He seems to be making my way towards me and his eyes seem to be scanning my equipment.
Conclusion: He wishes to talk for some reason.
Assertion: He wears brass knuckles
Conclusion: Ruffian or adventurer are the most likely jobs he takes.
Assertion: Ruffian or adventurer is interested in me.
Conclusion: Prepare for combat just in case.
I check that my blunt arrow is properly loaded into the crossbow so that I can immediately set it up for use just in case this being has some sort of negative designs on me.

As I walk towards her, she eyes me and checks her crossbow. I give an amused chuckle at her wariness and look at my hands - only to notice that I am still wearing my brass knuckles. Well, her reaction was reasonable.

Before continuing onwards I take off and stash the brass knuckles in one of my bags before sitting down at her table as I look at her in detail. Her visor, amongst other things, does look quite curious - but I'm not so rude as to immediately ask about it.

...what are you supposed to do in such a situation again? Ah, right. Introductions.

"Nice to meet you, I am Exal - an adventurer."

I adjust my glasses before continuing to ask her.

"May I know your name?"

Seeing him stow away his brass knuckles I let the blunt bolt relax back into a more restful position.

He sits down for a period of time being silent maybe about 3 seconds. He than introduces himself as Exal an adventurer.
"I am AIEO also an adventurer currently before that an Infocyte.

"An Infocyte?" I pick up on this strange word I've never heard before.

It was his first time entering such establishment. Shimura is looking in wonder in the assortment of adventurers in front of him. Seeing the adventurers in front of him made him feel surreal, as it was once his dream to be one. And here he is, one of the adventurer starting his journey.

Barging into the tavern, Manyvat Adruo immediately walked towards the counter. Yet, he stopped and let out some sentences, as his nose was smelling the air.
"Ah, the sweet scent of people and alcohol!"

That was something he dearly missed. Definitively, that is where he will stay.

"An Assassin via information manipulation." It is a word that even in her own world would not be recognised by most so it is not strange he did not recognise it.

I give an offhand wave to greet the newcomers before continuing my intriguing conversation with AIEO.

"Assassination via information manipulation? That sounds interesting, but how exactly does it differ from usual assassinations, like poisoning a drink?"

"The assailant never even sees me. For all intents and purposes I may as well have been in a different universe to the targets that I was acting against. It's a very tricky job require extreme study on people's reactions to stimulus." I notice the offhand wave and proceed to ignore it if they approach I will greet them otherwise it's pointless

Here he was, a farmer out of his depth. Shimura wondered, could he kill a slime? He never killed anything beyond a chicken (or a cow or a sheep, for that matter). And he held its neck before he killed it. Would he be doomed to never do anything beyond administrative duties?

He steeled himself. Abandon any kind of shame or pride, he told himself.

He shouted in the tavern, "CAN ANYBODY TELL ME IF I CAN KILL SLIME WITH KITCHEN KNIFE?"

"And you are skilled enough for that at such a young age? Impressive."

Someone requires help! I immediately shout back:

"Yes, just hit the core! But the knife will get damaged, so I recommend you use something you don't need!"

"THANK YOU! KIND STRANGER!" shimura shouted, embarassment shown on his face. He immediately went back home, away from the tavern. Perhaps someday, he thought, he would be proud to call himself an adventurer.

OOC: Remember AIEO looks like a fully grown woman.
IC: Well it's centuries worth of instruction long exposure to tutorials that are extremely condensed. Plus I have other assets I can play with if more direct measures are needed." I sit up straight watching Exal respond to the new guy.

"I just used my hand to grab one of the cores stung a bit not to much damage though well within acceptable parameters." AIEO shrugs at Exal.
