It means that what you just said is the basic mindset of a shield. Keep yourself protected while attacking, and mainly use the shield to defend yourself. Thus, all manuals dealing with shields will have that.

Or think about it rather than collecting stones and allowing them to be easily kidnapped by a bad guy because they are all so close together we could just bring them back as a Nekeharan.

As the moonlight illuminated the sky, Luna looked at the mansion from afar, identifying it as the Uncrowned King's Mansion. Today was the day that she and Letianna would attend the Dance Party, and as everything had already been prepared, there was simply little to no chance of failing.

Behind her, another figure kneeled onto the ground, appearing to be the substitute that the Merchant Guild had given her. Although their facial expression was not similar, it was easy for Luna to use Worm Magic to slightly alter the figure's appearance. It was only after she dressed both herself and the figure did she order the substitute to go out and wait for her signal.

Inside the carriage, Luna set her magical formation and spoke to Letianna about how to behave and what to watch out for.

"When we arrive at the Dance Party, don't go wander off alone, and try to stick to me. Also, if something bad happens, and I disappear, immediately rush to the villa and leave the village by yourself, there is no need to worry about me." Although she didn't think anything weird would happen, it would better be safe than sorry.
