Anyhow, here's a plot pitch:

Fuyu Machi and Yato Machi - 夜卜街 - And other things, has a lot of features that simply just remind me of a street of demons, a mountain of demons, endless night, etc, etc.

Consequently, the proposal is that originally this was a yokai mountain.

And in fact, the yokai mountain sits atop the entrance to the underworld.

However, humans (beastmen) came... particularly a miko... and sealed the entrance so that yokai would stop wrecking havoc across all of the world.

However, when the entrance was sealed, there were many yokai who were caught outside.

The oni are one clan of yokai who were sealed outside of the ancestral home, and they will do everything in their power to return.

However, the miko is unwilling to undo the seal because establishing the seal in the first place took incredible sacrifice, and yokai are likely to spill out of the underworld as soon as the seal is undone... even for a few seconds.

Since the miko is unwilling to work together with them, the Oni will attack the mountain until they gain control and can undo the seal... so they can finally return home and be reunited with their loved ones in the underworld.

And uhn... I also got some touhou vibes from Fuyu Machi... Like... The Lake Guardian really felt like Nitori to me, for example~ *giggles*

The Shogun for me is Kanako and the Sora to me is Reimu as well~ *whiiiiistles*

Tai'ge could be Shou too~

The onis are a bit harder, but Chen summoned a red and blue Oni in some spell cards, and Suika would make for a nice boss, so... I think there are parallels to be found there too! XD

I wasted more time today on maps, and I got Wonderdraft.

I was hoping for a map version that emphasized the sketchy-ness of the map, so idk how this came out.
