Both chars are finally lvl 4. Time to hunt some direwolves!!! But how do I skin their pelt off? I'll just have Iris freeze them and bring them whole!!!
Pretty sure it says to skin them!

am I being dumb?
I cant see any prerequisites for e rank promotional quest... should I be doing it at level five, or like now at 1900 exp when the quest will turn me lvl5?
What most people do is that you need 2000 xp to do the promotion quest, and you only reach lv 5 once you finish it.

Most people also allow exp overcapping though. (Like having 2100/2000 exp in level 4)

It's not set in stone though, the system is a bit flexible.
*.*) *eyes start shining*

o.o)? *wonders if older freestyle rp posts would get xp*
@.@) *though I would be too lazy to search through the thread*
I'd say it isn't retroactively applied because that'd be a pain to go through~

No clue how to skin their pelt though... >.>

Updated the freestyle thread awards.

It's 15 EXP per post provided you write at least 100 words.

The original minimum word count of 40 words was changed to a "recommended 100 word count".

Rules
  • If you are replying to another player, quote their post.
  • The recommended word count for each post is at least 100 words.
  • Make sure to include the title, setting, and characters involved in each post.
  • Posts that are marked (OPEN) mean that anyone can reply.
  • Please do not "powerplay" or "godmode" -- which means controlling someone else's character.
Bonus Reward
  • You can collect 15 EXP for every in-character post that exceeds the recommended word count (see above).

Also since @Bochi just passed the Rank D exam, it would be a good idea to start thinking about finding a Rank D region~

There is also Fuyu Machi, Holy Human Empire / Halfwing Federation, and Lizardmen areas that could all potentially be new regions.

Isn't that basically Spire Reef? Though the Misers don't run the Reef.

I'm conflicted...
I want Liana to learn how to use the billhook at the barracks, but the quest for weapon training doesn't cover billhooks - which is a polearm - as a reward.
Reward: Gain a understanding towards a single skill on the list:
  • Scribal guard swordsmanship (Unlike those with lances we can actually move in the city.)
  • Scribal guard lancemanship (What use is a sword when you can take your enemy out before they can even make it to you?)
  • Scribal guard archery (What use is a lance or sword when you’re firing from a distance.)
  • Scribal guard macemanship (Archery has distance, lances has range, swords have speed but they can’t deal with armor that’s when we come in.)
The closest would be lancemanship...but lances are completely different from billhooks...
*sigh*

I don't want to do the quest and then be failed because the weapon didn't fit with any of the rewards...

Do I just make it an ss instead, and focus on other quests in the meantime?

Apply for whatever is the closest option available to a Billhook and tell your trainer that you'd rather train the weapon you have some familiarity with.

Since the weapons are more or less similar, the guard should be able to instruct you on that one.

... From my googling of what a Billhook is, I guess a sword is the closest?

Yeah, I was more meaning the pole arm variety.

I'm going to do one of the custom quests I made first, since no one else is doing them and it's not like there's a rule saying you can't take your own custom quest made by an NPC.

Polearm seems closer to spear, so you can do that one IMO~

And yeah, feel free to take your own custom quests~

Again...

Someone needs to post a custom quest regarding the exploration of Fuyu Machi so that I can take it. I can't just take the quest if there's no quest to take.

What do you think the quest should say? I can put one up quickly~

"A beastmen mountain has been discovered down south, and so far two of our adventurers have visited it's grounds. However, conflicting reports leave several things unclear, starting from basics such as exactly how far the city is from Scribel. We need someone to make another trip, find out how the city runs and whether or not it's worth setting a guild branch there."
