I get that you're trying to one-up each other by making the shortest reports possible but...isn't this kind of defeating the point of playing the game: to roleplay?
'-'

Of course, I'm probably just being an uptight person about this...
...sorry...

Just let them get it to a two letter report and it'll stop~

I wrote some tutorial quests for Spire Reef. One of them is sort of a hasty IC explanation about how quest reports get to guild receptionists.

A bunch of them are failure quests because I want to see more characters failing. :blob_happy: :blob_happy: :blob_happy: :blob_happy:

*gently places this quest report on a table* *glares at @AliceShiki*

Ahem. So...

I'm still not seeing what benefit the guild gets from establishing a branch in Fuyu Machi. What do we gain?

What do they have that we don't? Why should we establish a branch in Fuyu Machi... as opposed to... a branch in the lizardman tribes in the southern marshes? Fuyu Machi seems pretty far away too.

They also want to tax us after six months? Doesn't it sound like a bad deal? What do people think?

@Bochi @Epsil @Zoey
I thought the adventurer's guild was taxed? If not :sweating_profusely: . Also Since I didn't negotiate I was thinking of putting a quest for someone to actually go negotiate. Someone with actual skill.

Well, actually the Adventurer's Guild receives its funding entirely from Scribel City's taxes of its civilians.

Where else does the quest reward money come from? XD
I'm dumb. RIP. Can I go edit my report and change the incentive? Originally it was going to be a manastone mine where the guild could get high quality manastones, but I rushed it.

Suggestion

The Hidden Symbol
Hidden symbol, could unlock quest chain,
"Tools of the trade"
use clues to find hidden spy gear supplier
Unlock market store, expensive specialist store for spy gear, grappling hooks, sleeping darts, stealth gear etc
Lead to
"Supply and demand"
Smuggle contraband and special material to spies' crafters in Spiral Reef

lead to more spy master quests

From the sale of goods and materials and the acceptance of quests from the city!

From the sale of goods and materials and the acceptance of quests from the city!
To a limited extent, but in my headcanon slime cores and healing herbs just aren't profitable enough to run an entire guild's expenses. It's like arguing that the entire US National Parks Service manages to pay for its own budget by hunting wolves and selling beaver pelts. XD

If it were really that profitable, then the guild would probably operate more like a company.

Essentially the city bankrolls the majority of the Adventurer's Guild operations.

XD Alrighty! You can either edit it in or send another adventurer to figure out if there are better incentives.

This is fine too. If anyone wants practice negotiating OOC, they can negotiate with me too.

I like to think of myself as a pretty tough negotiator. :blob_evil::blob_evil::blob_evil::blob_evil:
Oh... I just edited it.
```
“The shogun is willing to not tax the guild for 6 months, if you guys make a branch here.”
"What do you mean by not tax?"
"By lowering the tavern prices from 25G to 10G for 6 months. (4 Weeks)"
"Thats the same price as Scribel? Not very alluring."
"She's also willing to give you access to our manastones mine, which contain a lot of powerful and clear manastones."
"She'll even send helpers to help construct the guilds building."
“That does sound enticing, but also alarming. Why does the shogun need adventurers? War?”
```
