I would just do it xD*getting antsy*
*wants to make new location and region*
*dont want to be the guy that keep naming regions before anyone else gets a chance*![]()
The fact you didn't attack the fawn and killed the mother swiftly and cleanly is still endearing. It shows there is still humanity within him.Haha, I'm glad you like him ^^
Even though his latest post was about killing a baby deer's mother right in front of them
How would you suggest it to be written?@ohko, how about changing the blacksmith quest a little? It feels unrealistic to me, doing the quest progression from the bellow operator to striker in as little as 3 days. Though, on the other side, consequence of doing a long time of apprenticeship, like 2 week/a month meant that the one taking the quest had to consume 10G each day, and this make this quest prohibitively expensive.
The firewood payment seem to be a formality in any case.
1st, add timeframe like in the LV2 guard quest. How would you suggest it to be written?

"Tell me, my minions! What should the guild do about this??"
What kind of timeframe are you looking at?1st, add timeframe like in the LV2 guard quest.
2nd, food and lodging provided
3rd, remove the firewood cost. Instead, maybe a deposit of 15G each time, to be returned on their third success.
I didn't read it all, I kinda skimmed through it, but here's what I gathered:|.o)
Any chance of a TL;DR to give a brief summary?

I’m sure if there’s something you’re planning, we can work it out! You could probably even talk to an evaluator and rig an outcome lolAh, I have a question:
If you're on the Night Watch quest and you end up killing some thieves/vagabonds/molesters within the city, would that reduce the quest reward and possibly result in going to prison?
I'm asking so I know what consequences to expect if a certain new-born vampire ends up in blood lust while on patrol.

So, more like the sweat wiper quest that Blacksmith Arron posted?TBH, in my head if it were a serious apprenticeship, any reasonable craftsman would expect full-time attendance from their student. I would never permit my apprentice to go adventuring for 80% of their week, and then come to the forges 20% of the week. In my view, a traditional Smithing Guild apprenticeship simply isn't compatible with the goals of the adventurer's guild -- consequently, this quest shouldn't be framed as an "Apprenticeship".
Maybe deposit something like 500 G for the apprenticeship and it will be a continuos chain of quests everyday until the skills are learned. What kind of timeframe are you looking at?
To be honest, I'm leaning more towards rewording the quest not as an "apprenticeship" but more as some kind of loose helping out. The reasoning for this is because many characters start at different baselines, and I think it's important to keep the quests generally flexible. It's not really the role of the Adventurer's Guild to recruit long-term "apprentices", if you wanted it put i that way.

As for the cost -- I sort of disagree about the refundable 15G deposit. I do believe in some kind of payment -- since it's troublesome for the blacksmith to take an inexperienced student. Smelting/forging burns a lot fuel, and acquiring it all is some of the most tedious parts of the work. Putting the student in charge of the most tedious work is a very common practice in many fields.
'-'I didn't read it all, I kinda skimmed through it, but here's what I gathered:
- Vicious noticed a sudden new mountain appear east(kinda south?) of Scribel City
- Vicious travelled east(kinda south?) for 8 days running at her top superhuman speed, and passed the tall grassy plains, the quarry, went through a savannah and reached a forest.
- There she passed through a strange misty veil and found herself in a village filled with beastmen
- After mingling a bit and talking to a dog beastman, she was greeted by the shogun's right hand man(Tai'Ge, leader of the shogun's guards) who brought her to see the miko(shrine maiden).
- The miko told her that the mountain suddenly moved alongside the main city(Fuyu Machi?) and told her about the barrier:
Vicious thought about the cold sensation she briefly experienced before seeing the village. Was that the barrier the miko was talking about?
"Sora, by barrier, did you mean the mountain's protection? If so, it's just a hunch, but since the mountain's no longer where it used to be..."
"The barrier got weaker? It's possible. This place was always a place of worship to our patron Kami, and if it's true, then we've been cut off from her protection and it's not great news...the villages in the forest need to be evacuated to Fuyu Machi immediately. We can't risk dangerous creatures entering and causing casualties to them. I'd better go find the shogun immediately. Sorry, Vicious. I know you have more questions, and I would love to stay and chat, but I have to get this to her. Will you and Sanguine be staying for a while more?"- Then the miko talked about hiring adventurers, before transforming into an oriental dragon and delivering Vicious near scribel city
"Hehe...say, Vicious, the adventurer guild you speak of is capable of fighting off monsters, right?"
"Yeah, although sometimes we end up doing odd jobs as well, but yes, if you have the coin, we'll probably accept the job."
"Then, when you're turning in your report, could you mention that we're willing to negotiate about hiring some adventurers?"
"Wouldn't your shogun mind? It is a rather big decision, after all."
"If it's to keep the place safe, she wouldn't hesitate about this either. I'm putting my trust in you, Vicious, so please!"
"Alright, I'll make a note of it...still, it takes me a little over a week to get back to Scribel city, though. And a trip back will be another 8 days at best. That's a little over two weeks, in the best case scenario. Will you guys be okay?"
"You're right...then, I know. I'll help you reduce that travel time to less than a day."- Whole trip took eleven days, but Vicious is superhuman so that's not an accurate judge lol
I'm not saying it's not exciting, I just think caution should be taken when they appeared out of nowhere so suddenly.I for one am quite excited that there's suddenly a beastman gensokyo
Ah, well...Liana can't heal anyone at the moment...Also I'm probably going to revoke the "CURE FEVER" quest since nobody is going to take it.
Yeah sounds interesting.I for one am quite excited that there's suddenly a beastman gensokyo
I can't find a reason for either of my characters to take the quest sorry! Also I'm probably going to revoke the "CURE FEVER" quest since nobody is going to take it.
