NPC needs level?! Dunno. Maybe @GM can decide
Absolutely! The level is an OOC reflection of their strength / threat level.

Where do you think they fit on this scale? (see below)

It's hard for me to decide because I have no idea what you're planning to use them for.

Personally, I think they're a bit too strong for everyone in this current region. That kind of description feels like a Rank A/B (level 30+) character, but nobody in the game is anywhere close to that level.

Please keep in mind that Scribel Region is basically the "beginner area", and quests are being capped to under level 10.

More regions will continue to come up as players explore new areas. Perhaps you can have your characters explore further away, and perhaps they will find a region with stronger monsters?

Then maybe he just lvl10 then. after all i make him to be 'helper' in event or plot so he don't need to be op now. Maybe after other players lvl up more than 20 or 30 we can raise this event character lvl? Or just make him lvl10 forever

Bridge Materials: Boulders
Sponsor
: The Adventurer's Guild
Location: Quarry Site (East of Scribel)
Required Level: 2
Objectives:
  • Search for 5 large boulders.
  • Extract them without damaging the stone.
  • Bring them to the bridge construction site.
Rewards:
  • EXP: 75
  • Money: 10G
I have a question about this quest. How large/heavy is one boulder? I need to come up with a logical transportation method, and for that, it would be useful to have a rough estimate.

Can you nerf his description down to level 10 then? Like writing that many of his abilities are sealed.

Can you also add some more description about what they have been doing here since they have arrived?
  • Are they a registered adventurer at the guild?
  • Where do they live?
  • Are they friendly? Would they help out an adventurer?
  • What are their motivations?

I'm asking for more detail because if you are making an NPC, you have to have enough information provided for someone else to write with them.

A common reason to make an NPC character sheet is to:
  • Make a reusable NPC character that players can team up with for party quests.
  • Make a resuable NPC character who is part of a quest (e.g. Watch Captain Zevara who trains newbies).
  • Make a reusable NPC character who runs a shop.

However, I think it is important to keep levels strictly under control, because OP characters can easily break a game.

I just woke up so if anyone is still waiting for there report to be evaluated please tell me. Though from the looks of it ya'll have been keeping up with the quest reports very well. Thanks for that, you don't know how nice it is to wake up to zero unfiled reports.

The first picture depicts a dragon, a species long-thought to be extinct eons ago.
There are many many things that are very questionable in this registration, but I will only comment in this one.

Please don't try to make such massive lore claims, like... Ever.

I could go into more depth on that, but Ohko already made it clear enough on the first post of the library, so I'll just quote that.
Please engage in additive world-building, and avoid restrictive content that prevents other players from adding more to the world.
  • Good examples:
    • "Fulyiasa is a goddess who lives atop Mount Kumbaya."
    • "East of the City of Scribel, there is a town called Bethleham."
    • "Some goblins have green hair and red eyes."
    • "Silka is a talented alchemist in the City of Scribel."
    • "Some magicians rely on ley lines to power their magic."
  • Bad examples:
    • "Zoon is the only god in the world of Tonia."
    • "Kazaduum is the closest village 1 km east of Scribel."
    • "All goblins have green hair and red eyes."
    • "Barry is the best woodcutter in the City of Scribel."
    • "Magic in the World of Tonia requires mana that is summoned from ley lines."

Hi all.

I just made my first character sheet. Just wondering, should I read the library and reception desk report info to have a clarity into what I need to do without interfering with what info was already said or just straight "ham"?

Character Sheet
Reading the Receptionist's Desk will take a while, so like... You can do it if you want, but it's by no means necessary.

Reading the Library is recommended because it's a lot shorter and will give you a quick resume of most things people already developed. Though again, not really necessary by any means~

Character Sheet
Hi Euka! Welcome! :blob_hug:

Reading the library and reception desk reports are totally optional, but you’re welcome to read whatever you like!

Usually, the quest descriptions have enough information for you to write something.

Like @AliceShiki mentioned in the post above this one, you’re almost always safe if you write with additive lore.

For example, it’s totally okay to write a report where your character met one friendly goblin (although I haven’t ever seen a report like this). However, as long as you’re clear and don’t write a big lore claim: “Actually all goblins are nice pacifists who plant flowers and wouldn’t harm a fly!” You’re good!

In either case, the lore is mostly determined by majority rule. If there are tons of reports from multiple characters about something being the case, we assume it’s true. Anything that conflicts that, we assume it was a strange anomaly — so don’t worry about going ham!

This looks much better! Thanks!

You might want to post a custom quest with him if you want him to be used — otherwise, most people will probably miss his existence entirely since not everyone follows the Registration thread.
