*doubts Nene will do anything truly important*Ah, just a reminder to people:
Please be sure to put important information in bold in the slime raid thread.
So far, only @Leegood has done it.

The Trader reacts: "What in Sora's name is Toilet Paper!?"Briele walked outside of the Guild Library only to see people running around screaming something about slimes.
A small mob was practically attacking the stall that belonged a poor trader who came from Fuyu Machi.
"Toilet paper!!!!!! Give us toilet paper!!!! We need toilet paper!!!!!!!"
Briele wondered why all these silly individuals were so desperate to hoard toilet paper during a slime attack.
He shrugged.
Personally, Briele didn't think it was a big deal. Like, they were just slimes, right? One of the weakest monsters?
Honestly Briele thought that somebody should go on the city walls and try singing at the slimes.
Or was Fuyu Machi set to have Toilet Paper? I genuinely forgot~The Trader reacts: "What in Sora's name is Toilet Paper!?"

Alrighty, update on Lizardmen Region
First, I've done a review of all posts that make a reference to the southern swamp / marshes / lakes / lizards.
There's been tons of stuff mentioned, including:
In either case, there's an enormous amount of content available for subjugation quests, which can run in parallel with a greater plot of Western Lizards vs. Anti-Human Lizards.
- In general, this biome is a waterfall / lake / swamp / marsh / floodplain / wetland (a ridiculous ton of stuff)
- Lots of oversized creatures (dangerous)
- Giant Dragon-like Alligators
- Giant Dragonflies
- Giant Serpent
- Giant Crocodiles
- Giant Mantis
- Giant Lizard Mounts
- Giant Worm-like creature
- There's also been other things
- Swamp slimes or strangely-shaped slimes
- Carnivorous vine plants (camoflodged)
- Dangerous birds
- There's been things mentioned about lizards
- Human-eating lizards
- Lizards who hunt fish
- Lizards who are good at killing slimes using a soap substance called Burza
- There's a human outpost that Felicia was stationed at
- There's been mention of ravines, cliffs, sinking sand, sulfur-smelling pits...
I've used my creative interpretation to synthesize as much as possible to put together a map:
![]()
The general takeaways here are as follows:
Planning a Rank E exam for this region (not rank D).
- Dozens of lizard tribes, not named - a handful of famous ones marked.
- The western faction of tribes (Searocks + Salt Marshes + Southern Marshes) is the Sea Lizard Council, which is pro-human (and pro-trade) and allied with Scribel City. They are also the seat of the Lizardmen Adventurer's Guild. They have one main fortress called Albatross on the lake, which serves as the place where the council meets -- and also as a place where the allied tribes can take refuge in.
- The eastern faction of tribes in the Swamplands are generally anti-human and more militaristic. They have several fortresses hidden in the swamps, which are both difficult to find and difficult to attack.
- The Greater Marshlands and the Yellow Tree Wildlands are intended to be mostly wilderness. This is where all the giant oversized beasts will probably be placed (although the Swamplands will probably also get oversized beasts).
Level range will probably span level 3 - Level 10 ish
The quest board will be organized by location rather than by levels.
Content will involve lizard-lizard warfare in various different settings (lake battle![]()
![]()
), infiltration, espionage, among other things.
I am currently thinking that the villages will not all be ubiquitous. For example, there will be some Western Villages who are anti-human (secretly), and some Eastern Villages who are pro-human (secretly). There will be political plots about attempting to elevate the standing of those tribes higher on their respective councils so they have more power. Basically, backstabby diplomacy stuff.
As for the purpose of the factional war. Nominally, it's about trade with humans -- but frankly the true motives are that both factions are greedy, and the human issue is sort of a spark that lit the fire. They wish to conquer the entire lizardlands and unite it under a single flag so that the lizard lands can be great and powerful empire.
Also would like to have something like a Lizard Olympics, just for the heck of it. Clearly, it should be called "Olyziard Competition".
Anyhow -- definitely hoping to solicit more content and ideas -- particularly players who visited the swamp in the past and would like to see something in the lizardland region!Feed me more things that you want!
Some Updates / Announcements
Thank you to everyone who sent me feedback today! It's really helpful and valuable for me to hear people's thoughts about how the game can be improved so it's fun (and not stressful) for everyone. Please don't be shy to send me feedback, and it helps me a lot!
First, I'm going to start with a review of recent news and rule changes in the past few weeks that you may have missed if you haven't been following the OOC thread:
+ + +
A. I'm recruiting a moderation team applications
I'm looking for players to help out with moderating the game. Fill out applications here!
B. Maximum of one A+ rank NPC per player
To avoid runaway numbers of powerful NPCs, there was a restriction so now every player can only have one A+ rank NPC.
If you made a powerful NPC and want to make another one, talk to @GM -- and we can make exceptions.
C. You can deduct EXP from your old characters when making new characters.
If you're making a new character and want them to be higher than level 1, you can deduct EXP from your existing characters and add 50% of that to your new character. For example, if you decide to trash your level 7 character (4200 EXP), you can create a new character who starts with 2100 EXP (Level 5). New characters still need to take Rank Promotion Exams to rank up.
You can also partially deduct EXP. For example, you can remove 1200 EXP From your level 7 character (4200 EX) and add 600 EXP to your new character to make a level 3 newbie. When deducting EXP from an old character, you should write something IC that indicates they got weaker (e.g. caught a disease, stabbed with a wound, lost an arm).
D. You need 3 players to open a new region
You can open a new region if you get references from 3 different players for a location.
There is a new change today - once you have three player references, PM @GM along with the 3 players who made the references -- and we'll talk about what the quest board looks like totally in advance. There won't be this annoying back-and-forth about what the in-character GM wants (or doesn't want), and instead we'll settle it all entirely OOC.
The planning for the new region will be done completely over PM with the players who did the initial region discovery.
Note: If it's for an emergency purpose (e.g. no higher rank regions available), @GM can waive the 3 player requirement to something like a 2 player requirement, but ideally 3 sources is best for diversity of ideas in the region.
E. Don't start big Scribel City events without community approval
Basically, don't throw a dragon attack at Scribel City unless you've talked about it OOC and the idea seems to be liked
A good rule-of-thumb to operate by is that you shouldn't pursue an event unless it looks like you have at least three players willing to participate in it. However, for particularly drastic events, @GM may veto a nuclear bomb falling on Scribel City.
+ + +
Anyhow, that's it! Thank you everyone!
Yeah at first I was shy about making too many threads, but I feel like I'm starting to give up about keeping the number of threads smallShould we just have an announcements thread? or is it too many threads
I feel like the announcement will be buried through things and if we go through an attempt to find it againYeah at first I was shy about making too many threads, but I feel like I'm starting to give up about keeping the number of threads small
That said, we're running out of space on that hotlink header to include all the threads...
No exact amounts as of now.say. how many water/river slime is there?
