I just make tons of 1 row tables.
If I make a header row, I delete the automatic row that appears after and make a brand new table.
That method has worked for me so far.

I mean...the quest doesn't say anything about them dying...just not escaping.

You know, like classic medieval and Renaissance-esque prisons.

I only use tables if I absolutely need them, I usually prefer using multiple spoilers and/or lists with multiple sub-lists. At least those I can manage without a problem! xD

... But I did use tables before, sometimes the information is just too much to be parsed through without a table.

It's hidden on the bottom right corner, you need to click the "Help" button to reach it.

NUF's guide was even harder to find, you had to click a weird symbol that I never saw before and that I had 0 clue what it meant. I only found it out because I got curious one day and wanted to discover what that symbol meant.

I came from an old forum (software from 2006 that never got updated) and that doesn't even have a Rich Text Editor, we can only type in BB Code there. So I ended up being forced to learn how to use it in order to manage a guide I was working on! xD

If you stopped them from escaping by killing them, I think it would be fine.

For the 2nd question, I think it would vary on a case by case basis.

There's RPG-Directory which lists a lot of writing-based forum RPGs. The style for these is more similar to the Freestyle thread though. Adventurer's Guild is something unique that I had never seen before coming to NUF.

A lot of them have extremely pretty sites though.

I clicked randomly on a few RPGD sites in the anime/manga subforum, just to show y'all some examples:

• The Remnant Project (RWBY fandom) (proboards)
• Eternal (Sailor Moon fandom) (ethereal-visions)
• Kismet Divided (anime/fantasy dystopian) (jcink)

Jcink and proboards are some of the most common though.

I imagine their school friends were also part of it.

People from different sites will go to different ones and post a pretty banner to their rp.

Most people doing these often are always looking for something new and interesting to do, so there's a pretty vibrant community if you know what you're doing. The typical lifespan for many of these sites is rarely more than 1-2 years though.

Most sites like these last only as long as a single "NUF generation" -- basically long enough for the most active people to go through high school or college. When that original group fades away (busy IRL), the site does as well.

When the people that are GMing the game disappear, it usually dies... Even then, when all non-GM active players don't have a clue about the ongoing storylines or about the details of the world or about what is happening in general, it becomes hard to move things forward...

I was just reminded of it because I noticed that the vast majority of quests in Gelderholm barely give enough for the daily living costs there
(Which makes sense of course because it's a war zone and the situation is dire, but I would at least like 5G of profit or something that I can use to feed/stable Sable )

Yes! I was going to eventually! My procrastination skills are terrible.

The money situation is pretty amorphous so I think it's fine to just... pretend that you're getting enough money to feed Sable.
