Hey folks. Need help.
Just completed some re-edit and now I want to add them as new chapter in between my published chapters without giving an alert to the readers.
Any advice is useful

Already read the tips from:

And from Adding and Sorting from:

What I have tried: (In one my failed account which have a scraped series)
Added chapter. Publish them setting a earlier date. Still got a alert.
Change the sorting after publishing. Still got a alert.

Heck, I even deleted my chapters and the Alert still stays. Its no problem for that failed project but just letting you know.

So if you have a suggest please do help. Or do I need to do an Announcement Chapter?

The only way I can think of is tacking what you want to an already published chapter.

The alerts are entirely automatic and they are set up from the readers' side in regards to new chapter notifications. I don't think you can change anything there.

Is there a specific reason why you want no alerts? It should be just fine if you inform your readers in an author's note in a new chapter and add the re-edit afterwards.

No, it just most of them will not re-read the series and the changes are mostly fluff with only a single small change which affect the story.

Thanks for the advice. Guess I follow the same.

I guess I don't want to look amateur even though I'm one and want to keep the per chap word count same while improving the series.

I just don't want that when they open Scribblehub and saw the series they follow suddenly release a chapter 2 or 3 when it is already above 20.

I'd just outright let them know so no one gets confused and your big fans get a chance to read it? No one who's twenty chapters into the story is going to judge you too harshly for editing another chapter in, I think-- it's extra content, even if it's a bit late, y'know?
