It seems totally reasonable to me. As for being "crazy or mentally ill," many people have undiagnosed issues that they are afraid to get diagnosed because of the stigma associated with those things. AI could give them the support they need without dropping $200 a week on a therapist or risking ostracism from telling friends about what they're experiencing. Essentially, it would be like an interactive self-help book. Bonus: you don't need to wait for the next appointment if there's something you need to get off your chest.
