I added a poll so that it would be easy to understand public sentiment. Adding a good poll/survey to feature requests would help determine whether the request is desired by site users. Thus it is like a referendum for change. If the feature request is shown to be a favourable+popular idea then the likelihood of implementation would increase. Show your support or disagreement at the polls! Vive la Democracy!
(*) What are Titles?
Titles that are currently available on profile pages are "Member" (obtained from joining the site), "Author" (obtained from writing a story), "Well-Known Author" (obtained from $%#&@!! I have no clue really).
(*) What do I want? What am I suggesting?
Currently I am only aware of there being 3 different titles "Member", "Author", and "Well-Known Author". I want more titles. I want to be able to sorta choose my title for fun and prestige. I will further explain below in suggestion 1 & 2.
(Suggestion 1) Semi-Customizable Titles
So I was thinking it would be nice if people could choose their title and then add an adjective to semi-customize it. For example maybe they have the 'Member' and 'Author' titles available to them and they could choose between these two titles that they have earned. Then if they have earned any fun modifier adjectives like 'Comedy' from reading
(Suggestion 2) Fun/Prestige Title System
The existence of the 'Well-Known Author' title tells me that there already exists the desire to acknowledge people for their literary efforts on this site. Why not add more titles that are earned and semi-customizable, perhaps they could even get bronze, silver, gold background plates to emphasize their status?
For example perhaps an author writes a Comedy Genre story ('explicitly' claiming comedy to be their story's main genre otherwise it could get silly) and manages to get into the top 200 comedy stories. Then they would gain the right to choose Bronze Plate "Comedy Author" as their title. Top 100 stories they can have silver. Top 50 gold. Or if they aren't high ranked they could still be a "Comedy Author" with a grey background. So authors could choose from the different titles that they have earned or want to be known as.
I think it would also be 'really important' to have tag titles work the same way as above. They already have the same ranking system as genres do so it would work the same way. I want to emphasize that the tag titles would be likely more fun and better for the site than the genre titles because it would give new authors smaller goals to work/aim for. It would be way to hard to get a bronze or silver plate for genres by the time the site gets really big, but if you aim for something like a bronze, silver, or gold tag title it is much more doable and fun.
I for one want to earn a gold plate title as a "Villainess Author" for writing a highly ranked story with the "Villainess Noble Girls" tag. Please administrator, I am shamelessly begging. Just give me this awesome title with your awesome powers.

Overall this system would allow people to chose their own titles, constrained to "Member" and "Author" endings for fun, but it would also reward people who earned Genre/Tag plate titles with a bit of reputation and prestige (give em a little something to work for thus increasing content for the site).
(*) Other Comment. "Well-Known Author" title requirements seem weird.
I'm just guessing from being told by somebody that the "Well-Known Author" title is likely obtained from publishing several different series. This does not entirely make sense to me since somebody could write a single story and have thousands of readers and a million views (this is an actually true for many stories) and yet the author would not be a "Well-Known Author". But if somebody produces a bunch of short stories that get a few readers it's good enough to become a "Well-Known Author". I feel like the number of readers and views should actually matter, perhaps with some other metrics. Right now, with the current website user numbers, if the requirements were like, "Have 1000+ readers, or 100k views, or 1000 Favourites" those kinds of requirements would make more sense.
