I am currently on a vacation right now.

It's near the sea shore.
That means the residents are used to eating sea food.

While I am a vegetarian.
So yeah...

For past four days, I have been eating nothing but different variations of rice.
Boiled rice, steamed rice, fried rice, roasted rice, etc.

And I am craving protein....
There is nothing vegetarian with protein here...

Anyways, i noticed I lost a lot of weight actually.

And i don't mean muscle mass, the fat beneath my chin and the flab on my arms reduced, and my belly got thinner.

And i wonder why

Why did me eating a carbohydrates rich diet result in me losing fat?

Because your calorie intake determines that.
You can eat only sugar all day long and still lose weight.

Rice has a lot of calories, but depending on your overall need and the remaining stuff you eat, that might not be enough.

I mean, I am certain that eating rice for 3 meals a day, everyday for past 4 days would certainly meet my calorie need easily.

Beans have lots of protein so try eating some of those. The reason you are losing weight is because it's all rice. If there were anything in the diet that your body could use for nutrients then it wouldn't have to use your extra fat as a replacement protein. If you are sweating a lot due to the heat then you could also lose weight that way as sweating burns fat.

If this analogy works, i don't have the enough knowledge to give a better explanation, carbohydrates are similar to low energy density low reactive fuel, using it to keep a fire u ended up burning a lot and fast, so if you don't refuel a lot to keep up become necessary use your fat, which is like a high energy dense low reactive fuel, it's take more effort to burn but in comparison, give more energy to the fire for longer.
All of this to say that normally high carbohydrates diet's are follow by low fat content, with the information above and creatures consume carbohydrates first then fat, results in fat depletion which out sufficient reposition.

Depends. Not all people can intake 100% of the calories that are in certain foods or come in high spikes of fast energy. Same if you just changed your diet from a high protein one. Additionally, high sugar intakes won't be visible at once but go to your liver and muscles first. So even if you think you ate more than enough rice, that wouldn't be visible in the matter of a few days.

That said, the fact that you are losing weight and see visible changes points more towards water. Because losing 1 kg of actual fat also takes more than 4 days. Especially if you eat something. The calorie deficit would be on the level of "eating nothing and still doing sport" to achieve that. It's more probable that you lost water.

The most likely scenario is that you have a slight calory deficit thanks to the unusual diet (probably also together with more need compared to your everyday life or the weather?). As written above, the body will use storage or other sources to make up for it, but that process also needs a lot of water. So in short - you probably drink a lot of water in your everyday life and didn't drink enough now for some reason. Which is easily visible in a few days (both the weight and visible in the mirror) but has no actual effect and will be back up the moment you return to your normal lifestyle.

(as the thread updates, I see your "water isn't free" comment. So I would go with lost water 99%.)

Don't worry, orthodox Jews don't consider fish as meat. So convert into Judaism and you can claim that you're still vegetarian when you eat fish. If you want to be extra validated in your label, become a rabbi.
