So I just started learning and...

Is there a logic to how many holes are in one?

My mother bought me a toy one with 24 holes, after getting into it I wanted to learn it for real and was recommended buying a 10 holes one; and due to how bad I am at counting I bought a 16 holes one.

And I see 48 holes ones for sale too.

So what is this progression?

Sometimes they are the same notes in a different key. Also it could be extra reorganized notes. Unlike playing a piano you can’t just jump to a different note while still playing, as if you drag the harmonica across your mouth while you are still exhaling you can trigger unwanted notes, so sometimes the orientation of the notes is different so you can go from playing one to the other without having change the direction of your breath or move the slide too much.

Though I only did music very briefly before I realized I was much better at drawing and painting and just focused my effort into those instead, so someone is free to correct me.

That...sucks! That probably means I can't translate tab music meant for 10 hole one into my 16 hole one just by using maths!

Considering you couldn't count to 10, I dont think maths will help you regardless.

you don't need to.... just learn to read a sheet, and learn the notes of your instrument. It should have a manual of some kind, the one i got did.

I was gonna assume a 10 for a 10 tab one would be different from a 10 on a 16 tabs one?

But learning to read a sheet music ah...

And no, the one I got didn't came with a manual.
