All this talk about yandev reminds me of this hate I usually deal with cause am new to writing but Ignoring them will be my new goal in 2022.
But making a yandere story is out of the question for me cause I am making a story right now with interconnected stories.

And she takes out the rivals nonviolently, instead of straight of killing them she uses her brain's to try and deter the potential relationships while fighting her crippling loneliness and depression while the main plot makes life even more harder for her.
You mean like the Facebook messages my best friend's ex-wife sent me? The saddest part is when they do this to people who aren't actually rivals. My best friend was my boyfriend in high school, but she came out as trans later, and I'm not attracted to women, so I have no sexual or romantic interest in her. My best friend missed my wedding because of that, but we reconnected during her divorce.

While watching YouTubers crit yandev I began to wonder about the premise I'd yandere being violent or straight up murdering love rivals.
Let me tell you it ain't fun, I'm probably the only weeb that hates the yandere troupe with a burning passion, especially when they fave no consequences for their actions.

Then I began to wonder, what if a yandere series focusing on the romantic aspects of the story as a consequence of loneliness and need to be loved as the life they lead isn't exactly great. And she takes out the rivals nonviolently, instead of straight of killing them she uses her brain's to try and deter the potential relationships while fighting her crippling loneliness and depression while the main plot makes life even more harder for her.
People seem to think that all yanderes are ruthless murderous psychopaths. It's not. Most westerners experience with yandere are through watching Mirai Nikki and Shimoneta. But that's like declaring that all feminists are immediately hostile to men. It's a label, a very broad label.

The most accurate definition for yandere is "extreme obsession towards their loved one". That's it. Murdering people does not come into the equation, unless the creator wants it to be. There are plenty of yanderes who play nice. These are tropes (not troupe, a yandere troupe simply means a performing group of yandere idols). There are plenty of series with romantic yandere but since such trait is not impactful enough, westerners simply consider that they don't exist.
