A funny, but odd question

So I'm working on a few series that I hope to put out soon, but that's sorta beside the point. Has anyone started their book and realized that they somehow ended up going along with something NSFW, like it's all good, and then you get to a scene that seems to be out of the blue? I've begun to realize that with just the planning my ideas.

Yes, I understand what you mean, Inkwolf. Right now, I’m publishing my novel here on Scribble Hub and on other platforms as well.
Throughout the story, there will be scenes intended for an adult audience. Some will be quite descriptive, but to avoid being too explicit, I plan to use a more poetic approach — much like the Song of Solomon in the Bible, which uses subtle metaphors, comparing musical instruments to fruits and other imagery, revealing while still concealing.
If your work isn’t primarily focused on adult content but includes such scenes, it’s important to be transparent with readers. You could, for example, add a note at the start of the chapter or tag your work as adult.
This helps avoid unnecessary misunderstandings and respects your audience’s expectations.
I hope this was helpful!
