Basically, got a story with a few chapters in with a character that can be described as being given an NG+ start. Both myself and the character realized that nothing has been done to capitalize on this.
As to not waste your time, a very brief overview of how magic and the mc is built:
Magic is prevalent in the world that people do get randomly gifted with a unique talent. Because of that, the nobility is basically a concentrated breeding program for bloodlines. If someone gets unique magic/affinity/gifts/etc. They get brought into a family to have children with. "Regular" magic as in studying the forces of nature is still the main way to progress. Just that while studying will make a flamethrower, bloodlines might turn it into a guided fire serpent.
The MC is from a dukes house and his bloodline revolves around an extreme specialization of earth magic that allows them to create legendary grade weapons and armor with their blood from the get-go. MC got this way as being transmigrated into a body with an already unlocked bloodline. For story reasons as he himself is new, he starts at level one with a maxed-out body.
I have realized that he has a solid close to mid-range combat potential but heavy hitters later on will be spamming magic from afar so I'm wondering what I could have him work on for long-range. He's got throwing stuff for mid-range so far with the bodies' former strength specialization. Bow and arrows won't work as it requires his blood. Throwing small blades he can run through the battlefield and reabsorb them. Arrows require too much blood with the possibility of losing by overshooting. His armor and weapons are almost skintight and still circulating through him. (I think I had a stroke writing this paragraph.)
I'm thinking of breaking his basic earth magic down and changing it into more volcanic themed to have area damage like a pyroclastic plume and some fireballs with spice. Or go a charged particle clouds approach using earth knowledge on how energy works with lightning bolts. Maybe summons?
