500 words for 500 days

I can't eat meat anymore. The doctor told me, and he was nicer than my former doctor, that I need to give it up.

So I did!~

(Because I have bigger chances writing those 4000 stories if I live to 120...)

But I am not ok with it. No, today I ate fish, and it was just normal fish. Just fish with lemon and a spice for fish. I decimated that fish in less than 5 minutes. Today I ate 2 of them.

Until Saturday, I can't eat meat. I am not ok with that.

So... I (self-inserted) wrote about a shifter who can't eat meat anymore! In German, because the story just bubbled out of me.

But the thing is, I fear that I will end up in a burnout again if I don't have self-restrain. I don't want to lose the writing spark ever again!

And we finally come to the title:

I pledge that I won't force myself to write, when I don't feel like it! My goal is 500 words for 500 days, during which I will try to draft the story. Some days I will write more, some days I will write less, some days I won't write at all. The goal for the story is to not see the light of day until I complete it. If it takes me more than 500 days, then fine!

(I just wanted to say I can't eat any meat, or eggs, or cheese anymore. YouTube even started giving me vegan recipes. The world is not fair, but my leg hurts less, so I will do what the doctor tells me.

On the plus side, going vegetarian is letting me save up money. I never realized how expensive a meal with meat can be, until I cooked a perfectly good vegetarian meal with fresh ingredients for the price of 3 Euro.)

No eating meat? Most tragic thing I've heard all year. I'd rather burn in Hell for all eternity than have such a cruel fate pushed upon me.
I was sizzling in Hell, one might say. It is lava hot here, and my leg hurt. You might want to think about your priorities XD. I hope that you never get confronted with something like that.

As a by choice vegetarian for 8 years, I don't really miss meat tbh. You just get used to it.
How did you get use to it? And do you have to take vitamin B12, or do you get enough of it from mushrooms? Can you please tell me what I should eat to get enough of the stuff? I cook well enough, so I don't feel the urge to bite a cow yet, but I think that if I get too little of the stuff found in meat, my health will suffer for it.
May i ask what happen to your leg ?
I was a couple of months away from getting disc herniation (had to google the term. Not sure if it is the right one). Anyway, I take pills for it, and ever since I stopped eating meat, my leg doesn't hurt as much.

I take 0 vitamins. Realistically a lot of meat does more harm than good. You can get basically everything you need if you eat the right mix of vegetables. Which is kinda funny because I just eat whatever I feel like eating. No I'm not a salad muncher, I still eat fast food. I just replace my burger and fries with mozzarella sticks and cheese. Rice is like a staple in my diet and something I eat often because I love jasmine rice.(I'm not asian.)

My thing is just eat like how you want to eat, just no meat, and go to the doctor to see if you're missing anything so you can modify your diet after a while.

Decades ago I read Diet for a Small Planet and Recipes for a Small Planet. My takeaway was that some things pair up well to create complete proteins -- peanut butter & cheese being my favorite. Read up a little, ask for advice (but don't take the fanatics too seriously); it's not a Fate Worse than Death to go vegetarian or even vegan

You could eat NOTHING but meat. Which means no CARBS. If you eat just meat, you can't process it properly, so you lose weight.

Yes, it is. Every Vegan I know seemed normal when they started, then slowly went insane. I truly believe the human body needs certain amino acids that you cannot get from plants. You don't need MUCH. Eat meat once a week and you are fine, but the people I know who went vegan lost weight, and then all, universally, went insane. I'm talking going commie insane.

I'd rather die than go Vegan. At least I'd die with dignity.

And they no longer can take a joke. Try eating a tuna fish sandwich in front of a vegan and comment, "Ya know... it just hasn't tasted the same since they took the dolphin out." See what happens. I still have the scar.

You, sir, have discovered a research topic fit for a Ph.D. You would have to filter for self-selection of 'humorless + fanatic' when studying the Vegans, however...
