Etymology is a bitch, but keep being exposef to a language long enough and your passive learning skills kick in.

Pro tip, though: start learning german and then go back to almost every other language and it suddenly is piss easy.

I'm currently re-learning german grammar for my state exam and oh boy, I'd rather kill myself outright... It's so freaking counter-intuitive. NOBODY talks like that in german-speaking nations...

English is my 2nd language. Someone said that While writing I use more than necessary words to express something and so the sentences get unnecessary larger than needed..this could be a problem for many of us and honestly I have no idea how to fix it.
