I'm guessing this guy was like the top dog before his reincarnation? And he has been at the top for so long, he likely had done all that he can and his life must have felt really dull, so now fighting at equal footing, and even the pain he receives, must feel good. Tho 'good' is not the right word i guess, it's more like it excites him, he is finally doing something that's not dull. Did i guess right? Or he could just be a masochist lmao...

. . . If he was headbutting her at close range while holding her head, how did she manage to knee him in the chin?

If Lin Fan feels an overwhelming thrill from intense fights, he should channel that energy into healthier outlets like martial arts or sparring, where the bar for strength and discipline is set high. Activities like these provide the same adrenaline rush in a controlled, structured way, helping him find balance and grow stronger without losing himself to chaos.

Du Ning punched Lin Fan hard in the face, blood trickling from his nose — the first time he bled since his reincarnation. Strangely, this made Lin Fan grin widely, a manic smile spreading across his face.
My advice?

Don't mix actors in paragraphs like this.

Make a Du Ning paragraph.

Followed by, a Lin Fan paragraph. Starting it out with "Du Ning" screams it is a Du Ning paragraph, when in fact this has much more Lin Fan in it. Writing that way is backwards.
