Working on that exact thing right now, actually. And, I don't know whether or not it's normal, but I've seen it used to great effect, so if it has a big impact on the rest of the story I think that it'll be a good thing.

Yes. It's 100% normal to show POVs of other characters. It's even better when it's influential/an important scene. Just be mindful about how long you stay in that POV.

Should be fine then. Another good idea would be to have a follow up chapter with the main POV immediately.

Supportive character special pov chapter is a very good move, especially when the readers actually like the character and complain about not enough screen time for them.

I use the main pov first, I create a misunderstanding story you see.

I've done it multiple times. I don't know if it had any big impact, but I did have fun with it because it's a different personality that has to interact with the main MC.

I’m planning to switch focus on a side character for two or three chapters due to having some significance to the plot and to find out what the character is up to.
