I'm not a poet so I can't evaluate that. For the cover, it looks cool when my face is very close to the screen and I imagine it looks cool full size. Take a few steps back and you'll see that the dude blends in with the flag. Too much black. On the other hand the title is easy to read, so +5 points for that!

Always take a few steps back. The undeserving scum who should feel honored to read your book will not give your painstaking work the attention it deserves. Take a few steps back gives you an idea of how they perceive it.
