My other protagonist is formerly engaged and trying to get her back.

My other protagonist, for a story that isn't out yet, is single cause she is an 18 year old in the body of an 8 year old child. She has no intentions of forming a relationship with a lolicon.

If he was currently taken, he wouldn't be much of an aspiring future househusband would he? He'd be a househusband already!

... although in saying that, he could be taken and still aspiring to be able to settle down and be caught in a constant storm of events that won't let him relax.

Currently still planning the story, but he's planning to confess after his (worst) best frenemy unknowingly screwed up the first attempt. So not sure if that counts as Sinken or Takngle

Is your MC in any sort of romantic relationship or are they currently single?

My MC currently has three girlfriends:

His childhood friend.
His cousin.
His neighbour.

His hands are full right now.

Dawn, the human, is still a child, and single, though one of her friends is interested in her. That said, she left the village to go to the capital, so even more single.
Niphru, the kitsune, is still only a fox, and basically a child too, and so far planning on them remaining single, but all my characters do their own thing however they feel like, so who knows if that will remain or not.
