How to avoid romancing your characters in a manner that wouldn't be misunderstood by the readers?

The first females I introduced besides my MC's teacher and his sister is my MC's female best friend. But I don't really linger on her appearance even if she's pretty and I established early on that she's interested in another character, not my MC. Also, she and my MC both just act like clowns...

How many sites is your story on?

RR, Webnovel, Wattpad, and here. Though RR is the only one I have high engagement from. Webnovel I have the most views but that's it, Wattpad looks like it has a lot of engagement but most of the "readers" are "artists" wanting me to commission them, then there is here, which I have over 30...

What was it like the first time you shared your novel publicly?

Well I only outline major plot points. The minor ones I leave empty so it gives me room for changes and flexibility if needed.

What was it like the first time you shared your novel publicly?

Well I posted my first story roughly 2 months ago, "Lucky God System". I'm not sure that I felt nervous. It was more relief that I actually posted something because before I always got stuck in editing hell for my stories. I finally got the motivation to actually post my story without worrying...

Broken dreams (No Politics, tired of my threads getting Pol-Bombed)

Well I wanted to be a comic artist/webcomic artist ... ultimately though, a lot of my mental health issues got in the way of me doing it. Doing a comic or webcomic takes a lot of time and commitment which ultimately my undiagnosed ADHD and Depression at the time made it feel nearly impossible to...

Does a relationship between 2 or more girls (just sisterhood without GL) make sense?

Why wouldn't it? I had a large group of female friends who were all super close to one another growing up. Also even as an adult I have at least 2 female friends I call at least one a month even though we live in separate states from each other. Female friendships aren't strange or rare...

    Prose?

So, recently it seems like my story is well received so far. While I only have 2 ratings on this site they're both 5 stars. And on RR, my rating has about 9 ratings with 5 of them being reviews. One is 4.5/5 stars and the rest are 5 stars. But it's been brought to my attention that sometimes my...

Are you still using the 3-act structure in composing a chapter?

If the 3 act structure is the first introduce settings and characters, then introduce the conflict, then reach peak of conflict resolve it and tie loose ends.. Then no... At least don't use that format often. Because Sometimes end my chapters in cliff hangers.or sometimes the "conflict" isn't...

These are a few Webnovel Shoutouts!

Oh dang, thanks for the shout out :blob_aww: you're a lovely person.

    I hate the term adulting.

I see... *Cries in millennial* :blob_teary: I use that word, a lot. Jk, I don't care much if people think of me as childish. Everyone has words they hate, I guess. To each their own. I want to cancel the world "moist".

What are your honest thoughts on harem stories?

Not a fan of harems. Most of them are just MC's collecting women like they're pokemon or something. Also, the women are usually written unrealistically, too. Like who's going to fight or willingly share the trash MC unless they're really stupid, or are with MC for other reasons other than love...

How do you cope with depression?

There isn't really a one size fits all on how people treat their depression. But generally I found out least for myself, it helps to have someone you can talk to. For me seeing a counselor helps, though I know not everyone fully benefits from that. For some people the answer is meds. Sometimes...

As a writer, what do you feel your greatest strengths and weaknesses are?

Probably my weakness in writing is setting or sensory details. I have a tendency to forget these, though I've been gradually getting better with that. World building it also kind of weakness of mine, mostly cuz I don't like to take time to do it, but I understand the importance of it, so I've...

How often do you check your story’s stats?

Usually check a few hours after I post a chapter. So that means roughly every 2 days, at least on here. Do it more for Royal Road since I have more engagement on there.

Does this story aim too high for ScribbleHub? Honest feedback wanted!

I'm not sure that changing the tags and synopsis will help much. It's a pretty tough subject you're touching on and can be seen just by the title. To be honest, the audience will probably pretty small and niche even if you change the tags or synopsis.

Does this story aim too high for ScribbleHub? Honest feedback wanted!

Well the genre might be an issue, but generally on here, you need to also have a lot of chapters up before you gain any traction on here. Most people aren't going to pick up a story with only 3 chapters up. Not to mention, a story about someone trying to establish something like a theocracy...

    How often do you cuss/swear?

Like in real life for me? Never. I was a goody two shoes growing up and never developed the habit. I've gotten a bit desensitized to hearing it, though, even if I don't use it. However, even if I don't use curse or cuss words, myself, my characters do.

Lf smth like Solo Leveling or Shadow Slave

Perhaps, my novel Lucky God System. It's progression, doesn't really follow the normal tropes of it's genre, it has a comical undertone, but does have darker themes. Has character development for the protagonist and has side characters and villains that exist for other reasons other than the...

Funny bits with your novel + family

While I've told my parents that I'm writing, I've never shown them my writing. My parents are pretty conservative and religious, and I know they wouldn't really agree with some of the stuff I write. They'd also probably be low key concerned about how dark some of my writing is. But neither of...
