    The Scribble Hub Logo

Has anyone ever noticed that the Scribble Hub logo kinda looks like Trogdor?

    Would you trade talents?

I've said for a while, people love being friends with artists but hate being friends with writers. That's because it only takes a few seconds to appreciate a piece of artwork, whereas reading a story (even a short one) is a time commitment. I can't tell you how many times someone I know has...

What's your main character's biggest flaw?

Skinwalkers has three main characters... Fey constantly runs away from her responsibilities. Her arc in the first book is her realizing that just saying "I didn't ask for this!" doesn't make her problems (or the people who need her) disappear, and she has to play her part whether she likes it...

    General Plot and Worldbuilding Feedback

The noble class isn't exclusively made up of demigods. Mortals who build up a fortune on their own can also be nobility, they're just much rarer. Likewise, there are also "peasant" demigods who, for whatever reason, aren't rich and have to live as commoners (or in Lanz's case, homeless on the...

    General Plot and Worldbuilding Feedback

Warning: stupidly long post incoming I've been working really hard on my WIP, Road to Olympus, lately. In the past three months, I've written about 61,000 words for it. It's nowhere near ready to be released, but I'm hoping I can at least get some feedback on the general idea behind the book...

What's your main character's biggest flaw?

I could never write competence porn. I love slapstick too much.

On naming the main character/point of view characters

Whatever method you use to come up with names, do a quick Google search to make sure they don't have any unintended double meanings. (glares at Toke from Juryokine)

What's your main character's biggest flaw?

Topic. Henry's biggest flaw is her imposter syndrome. She's strong and a great fighter, especially for her age, and she can think on her feet and improvise like a master. But she's also a Blue, the lowest and weakest class in klaon society. On top of that, a brain injury from when she was a...

How many chapters do you post per week?

I thought 2000-3000 words was considered the happy medium for webnovel chapters. 3000 words is roughly ten pages, which most people can read in less than an hour, not to mention over the course of a whole week, or even half a week.

How many chapters do you post per week?

I'm almost definitely not going to be able to keep up with that. I want to have at least a year's worth of buffer when I start uploading, and at three chapters a week that equals 156 chapters. Like I said, I can do that now because the books I'm posting (I have 14 written) are already finished...

How many chapters do you post per week?

And how long are those chapters? Right now I'm posting a chapter every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but those books are all already finished so I'm not at risk of running out of chapters before the book ends. While I'm doing that, I'm working on my WIP, Road to Olympus, and I'm trying to...

What is your strengths and weaknesses as a writer?

My strength is my combat scenes. People have always told me that reading my fight scenes is like reading a comic, they're so well detailed and vivid. My weakness is that I have no subtlety. Mysteries and plot twists are almost impossible for me to write because the best twists are...

    How am I doing?

I feel like I've got all the ones that apply to my story. It's a comedic urban fantasy about a non-human magical girl who's forced to live with a human boy and serve as his bodyguard. They start off hating each other but become friends. The girl constantly travels through dimensions to hunt...

    How am I doing?

I've only been on this site for about a week. In that time I've uploaded 12 chapters to my story, with new ones going up every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So far that story has 107 views and one five star rating. Obviously this isn't where I want things to stay, but considering how long I've...

    Patreon Cameos?

When they actually write the chapter and aren't just providing a name a brief character description?

    How deep is your Worldbuilding?

Deep enough. Some of my older books went full Tolkien (Juryokine and The Gray Ranger) with ancient histories, mythologies, cultures, etc. I just don't have the mental energy for that anymore. I still enjoy worldbuilding, but I limit it to stuff that will actually impact the story. Like in Henry...

    Patreon Cameos?

It kinda has to be that way, though. It would derail the entire plot if a random cameo character were to win and knock the MCs out of the tournament.
